About this listen

An enemy of newfound strength, a friend gone missing in the night, a threat that can be ignored no more.

Brad Madrid, Commodore of the Vikings Mercenary Company, has once again been drawn into the war against the resurgent Cadre. Called into action in battles across the Solar System, from the fogs of Venus to the ice fields of Ceres, he faces deadly enemies at every turn.

In the midst of the chaos, Brad learns that his Agency contact and partner, Kate Falcone, has gone missing before she could deliver the evidence of treason she carried. With millions of lives at stake, finding her cannot be his first priority, but he searches as he goes.

Then an old enemy shares a poisonous gift as they flee from battle: the Cadre doesn't have Kate Falcone. They know who does, however, and the hints they give Brad lead him to the one place he thought he would never make war.

When does book 5 come out?

The narrator brought you into the story and leaves you with 1 heck of a cliffhanger.

Enjoyable

I enjoyed the story and you can’t go wrong when Jeffrey Kafer narrates the book. The twist and turn in this series keep me wanting more.

VERY GOOD.

Exciting. Lots of intrigues and actions throughout. Brad and his crew were fantastic. The only complaint is that it ends in a cliffhanger. Now I will waiting impatiently for the next book. Mr Stewart, please make it soon. Thank you.

boring action sci-fi

I hate to leave a bad review for a Glynn Stewart book. I have read/listened to almost all of their books available on audible. He is a wonderful writer... so I don't know what happened here.

There is zero character development. There's no reason to relate to any of the characters. None of the characters change. The scenes feel unconnected. There is almost zero tie-in to the previous books. It's a hot mess.

The book is mostly a bunch of empty battles; not what I expect from a Glynn Stewart novel.
