About this listen

Marcia, Marcia, Marcia

Just when Sadie Sexton is starting to settle into her new routine in Hoochville, she learns of a decades’ old secret that her grandmother’s friends have been keeping from her. Now it’s up to her and Clementine Parker to help Marcia Murphy, a woman in need, escape town. Marcia has one request on her way out of town; she begs Sadie and Clem to check on her prized Chinese Crested show dog.

Everything goes to hell in a handbasket when Sadie and Clem arrive at Marcia’s residence and find Daniel Murphy’s dead body in the yard. Now Marcia is the number one suspect in his murder, and Sadie and Clem might just be on the hook for aiding and abetting a murderer if they can’t get Marcia to come back to town.

With a power-hungry DA on the case, Sadie and her friends find themselves navigating the world of competitive show dogs while trying to discover what happened to Daniel. And they quickly find out that confronting blue-ribbon-hungry dog owners is almost as hairy as trying to stay out of prison.

Book 2

Another great addition to the Sadie Sexton mystery series. I truly enjoyed both the story and the narration. I feel as if I had been transported Hoochville.

Sadie is back!

It's never a dull moment in Hoochville! Take a dead body, add a little bit of wedding planning and a whole lot of show dogs and you'll be wondering who done it as you race through town with Sadie. This story kept me laughing and entertained. I love the relationships Sadie shares with her besties, and even Elvis the opossum is growing on me! I feel like I'm part of the story and can't wait to see what Sadie and friends get up to next.
