Great read

I had read Amy’s book as a book before. It was as great to listen to. Jessie’s was new to me. Also a great book. I recommend this double volume. Great Jaff.

Two for one!

I finished listening to this duology in the early morning hours. The narration by Ian Pringle is very good. I did note a few mispronounced words, but his voice and performance are definitely commendable.

Wits & Wagers - Amy D’Orazio
Prepare yourself for some fun. Colonel Fitzwilliam, aided by Lord Saye hatch a plot to prevent Darcy from accepting the fate of Elizabeth’s refusal and marrying his cousin Anne instead. They conspire to make Darcy believe that the colonel wishes to marry Elizabeth himself. For Darcy, this will not do. With Lord Saye now involved, the scheme takes on a life of its own with the brothers making a bet on who will win, then more wagers spreading at the clubs in town, in Herfordshire by Wickham and the militia, and even by Elizabeth’s own sisters! What ensues is about 170 pages of pure fun and enjoyment.

The Cad, the Couch, and the Cut Direct - Jessie Lewis

Jessie Lewis has come up with a romp that takes the reader through the absurd and the ridiculous. In this comedic farce of ‘mayhem and misdirection’, nothing is as it seems, and while everything is a source of humour, this reader couldn’t help but feel a touch of angst as each misunderstanding adds to the confusion of the protagonists. The writing and story are amusing and entertaining, and eventually all is worked out, culminating in a second-chance opportunity and a sweet and romantic proposal. If you love a farce, you’ll love indulging in this fanciful novella. A very fun read.

Highly recommend!

Cads & Capers

These are two novella length books by two of my favorite authors, combined into one audiobook. What a great strategy! Both stories are lighthearted and delightful.

Ian Pringle is a talented narrator and a welcome addition to the Jane Austen fan fiction world as the audio listening audience seems to be growing. Hope to hear more from him.

What a fun to listen!

The side characters are amazing! But Darcy sometimes sounded as if he had a stuffed nose.

2 short stiries

Both stories wasn't interesting to me. Both just needed to communicate. Nothing that captured my interest. I don't like stories that if they would only speak they would work things out.
