About this listen

After a dishonorable discharge from the military on trumped-up charges, all Ben wanted to do was stay under the radar and be left alone. Someone with his talents and training is not soon forgotten or left alone.

Ten months of peace and quiet are about to come to an end, starting with a bar fight and a visit from a special operations officer with orders to bring him back into the fold. He swore he would never go back, but when the opportunity came knocking in the form of a beautiful commanding officer, he didn't think twice about signing up. With a slight twist, this time he would do things his way. Friend or foe, they are all the same to him.

Warning: This book contains adult situations, violence to aliens and humans alike, and foul language.

great light hearted fun and funny

Jamison is like captain Kirk and John wick combined with a cold name and cooler toys.

Great start to the Series

This books entertainment value was way up there. Hey even I agree that Hero's are overrated until some make no sense at all and are unbelievable. Bot this guy Gets payback from a before story incident which doesn't over ride this story. Thomas, whatever you do just don't change the Identity of your main Character in future series. Thanks Bra. . .

A 80's SCI-FI Through Back

Usually you have to wait for 90% of the book as the antagonist proceeds to annoyingly prevail over the protagonist until the very end where the protag decides to be the bigger man and deal out a weak form of modern civic justice. By which the antag then proceeds to get a weak slap on the wrist for crimes against humanity. This book, although a bit out of a 80's action movie, parcels out an even left right of unspeakable wrong and satisfying vigilante justice. To me, this book isn't all that hard to figure out, its a good guy with a tough past, with a strong moral compass, whose a likable sarcastic jokester, with a bit of a savior complex, who has the power and ability to right wrongs and doesn't take crap form authority. All of which is set in a "LIGHT DEPTH" Sci-Fi background. Yes, he's a man's man and a bit of a chic magnet, but from all perspectives, its a male writer who is probably writing a bit from experience and...may be exaggerating male prowess, but with all seriousness what man doesn't. If you take it all in good fun, aren't a millennial, aren't a hardcore Sci-Fi fiend and don't forget the word "FICTION", you shouldn't be offended or have trouble understanding the "80's" subject matter. Forgive me if my analysis finds itself wanting. I'm not a writing critic. If I offended anyone, it was not my intention. It's just one person's opinion.

Exceptionally entertaining

Read the first few books in this series when it first came out. Was impressed by many aspects of the story. The MC is a mix of OP, humble, arrogant, and a few other traits, yet seems to be balanced by his flaws. There is an element of every guy wants to be a hero in there, and to me, that’s not a bad thing. Look forward to rediscovering the rest of this series being narrated by the great Guy Williams, who always does a fantastic job of bringing stories to life!

Very GOOD read👍👍👍🤗🤗😊

so, when is part 2 coming out?
Engaging story and chrachters. Ben seem like a nice guy who struggles to not become a total homicidal psychopath. He is only really content when he is killing. For a good purpose perhaps but he is more than willing to kill anyone who even annoys him.
