Read by the author.

Become a next-generation leader - rich in emotional and social intelligence and orchestrating outstanding collaborative results - by mastering these eight status quo-shattering paradoxes.

The Eight Paradoxes of Great Leadership unpacks the fresh strategies and new mindset required today from a next-generation leader.

Author Dr. Tim Elmore helps leaders of all kinds navigate increasingly complex, rapidly changing environments, as well as manage teams who bring a range of new demands and expectations to the workplace that haven’t been seen even one generation prior.

After working alongside John C. Maxwell for 20 years, Tim offers counterintuitive paradoxes that, when practiced, enable today’s leader to differentiate themselves and better connect with their team and customers. The book furnishes ideas that equip leaders to inspire team members in a way a paycheck never could.

Having trained hundreds of thousands of young professionals to develop into leaders, Dr. Elmore shares the secrets of next-generation leaders who have practiced the unique paradoxes outlined in this book.

In The Eight Paradoxes of Great Leadership, you will:

  • Learn how today’s team members require a combination of different qualities from their leaders than they did in even the recent past;
  • Grasp the importance of eight key paradoxes that are critical for next-generation leaders to put into practice right now;
  • Be inspired by historic and modern-day leaders who lived the eight paradoxes; and
  • Understand how you too can lead with the eight paradoxes, guiding you to emotional and social intelligence that resonates with your team and leads to outstanding collaborative results.

Insight, Perspective, and Heart

Tim put his heart in this book and recording. The content is both timely and timeless, and framed in a way that will positively influence those who are seeking improvement. Tim has a few side bars with the audience to infuse even more of Tim into this playbook for growth minded leaders

Surpassed High Expectations

I didn’t realize how much I needed this book. Seldom do I feel so strong a desire to absorb every single chapter of a book. Grateful for these lessons and hopeful to put them into action to the point of making even Tim proud.

Best leadership book for what we face today

This is the best leadership book I have read in several years. And it is especially pertinent to the world we are facing after navigating a global pandemic that is still radically changing everything. It does not provide black-and-white answers to the very complex questions we are facing. Tim Elmore embraces the nuance and uncertainty of the world and offers fresh insight that is immediately applicable. I have no doubt I will read this book multiple times.

A definite “must listen”

I love reading Tim Elmore’s books and blog articles and this one didn’t disappoint! In fact, I think the audio version is powerful in ways a book just can’t capture - the emotional “heart” that comes through as Tim Elmore reads his own words - just VERY impactful! Of course, Now I intend to get the book as well - maybe even the Kindle. It’s really a TIMELY book for sure! Well done!
