About this listen

I guess you could call my latest job interview a success. I got hired, and it's way beyond my wildest dreams.

The pay isn't great. And the hours are pretty much 24/7.

But there's magic. And a portal to a fantasy world.

Those kind of outweigh the negatives.

At first, I thought I was just testing the latest VR survival RPG, but I'm starting to think this might not be a game after all. The monsters are definitely life-like and capable of carving me apart on their worst days. But on their best days, I make them mine.

Yeah, I have the Tamer Class.

There's strength in numbers in survival scenarios like this, a fact that becomes only too clear when I'm joined by a redhead who's apparently a Warlock.

I figure it won't be long until our party's number increases in this strange new world.

there is so much political injection in this book it might as well be listed under the political section. I am sick and tired of having political crap, left or right, being injected into books. Stop preaching, this author has lost me forever.

holy political injection

The first half of the book was entertaining. The second half not so much. I’m not sure what the author was thinking sending the MC running around all by himself and us just having to listen to his thoughts. I am not sure if I’ll bother to listen to the second book.

First half good

I really liked the start of this new series. I thought it was pretty well written. I liked the three "system" being used was fun but not over bearing with lots of stat screens etc. I thought the mc was likable and not op. if you like crafting and base building you'll like this one. the narration was excellent also.

excellent start

Marks job interview turns into an isekai trip to another world, along with all the other applicants. He has to learn how to survive not only monsters and the dangers of the world, but potentially the other applicants. Great new world! I look forward to the sequel!

a great entry title

This is literally a harem novel set in the Palworld video game. I would have skipped if I knew this going in.

this plays nicely, good story and progression, cool characters and monsters, the world evolution seems decent. tiny complaints, but not enough to write

a certain open world game

I had not realized from the description that this had Pokemon like elements, which was a fun addition.

I was taken aback at how abrupt the change to the isakai portion was, but, like the characters, adapted quickly. Dante did not disappoint!

This story read well, and i quite enjoyed it. Both narrators were new to me, and seem like they are getting their feet under them. They did a great job with their enunciation, and Lewis just needs to add a little more inflection in his voice acting, but that was my only complaint.

Great Story!!

This audiobook is an absolute blast! The story begins with Mark's unique job interview that leads him into a magical, perilous world. The blend of magic and survival RPG elements is thrilling, making the adventure immersive. As a Tamer, Mark's journey is captivating, especially when paired with the formidable Lucy. Fast-paced, filled with life-like monsters, and great camaraderie, this LitRPG adventure is highly enjoyable!

Very much better than the concept sounds. King's writing keeps the flavor of Litrpg without bombarding the reader with stats. The book is kept moving through survival and exploration. the romance is slow burn.

An excellent listen as the narrators bring the book to life.

Pokémon meets survivor.

I can't tell if it's like listening to powell world as an adventure or like pokemon for adults, But the book is definitely awesome, and as always. Dante king provides an amazing experience.Great narration as well
