Publisher's summary

I guess you could call my latest job interview a success. I got hired, and it's way beyond my wildest dreams.

The pay isn't great. And the hours are pretty much 24/7.

But there's magic. And a portal to a fantasy world.

Those kind of outweigh the negatives.

At first, I thought I was just testing the latest VR survival RPG, but I'm starting to think this might not be a game after all. The monsters are definitely life-like and capable of carving me apart on their worst days. But on their best days, I make them mine.

Yeah, I have the Tamer Class.

There's strength in numbers in survival scenarios like this, a fact that becomes only too clear when I'm joined by a redhead who's apparently a Warlock.

I figure it won't be long until our party's number increases in this strange new world.

excellent start

I really liked the start of this new series. I thought it was pretty well written. I liked the three "system" being used was fun but not over bearing with lots of stat screens etc. I thought the mc was likable and not op. if you like crafting and base building you'll like this one. the narration was excellent also.

Harem set in Palworld

This is literally a harem novel set in the Palworld video game. I would have skipped if I knew this going in.

holy political injection

there is so much political injection in this book it might as well be listed under the political section. I am sick and tired of having political crap, left or right, being injected into books. Stop preaching, this author has lost me forever.

a great entry title

Marks job interview turns into an isekai trip to another world, along with all the other applicants. He has to learn how to survive not only monsters and the dangers of the world, but potentially the other applicants. Great new world! I look forward to the sequel!

YOU TRIPPED, RIGHT AT THE FINISH LINE!!

WARNING: SLIGHT BUT NOT BOOK RUINING SPOILER ON POINT TWO

So this is a decent enough story, nothing epic, but worth the credit. I've only three gripes and all of them near the end.

First: Why are you hating on spears and refuse to acknowledge their utility in hunting and fighting. (Yes it's personal so sue me)

Second: At the end when they head to the swamp terrain,..WHY DID YOU HAVE YOUR SO FAR SMART/LOGICAL MC LEAVE HIS F***ING CROCODILE/ ONLY SEMI AQUATIC MONSTER BEHIND!? It's thing like this that make me wish ill on the MC to teach them a lesson. Mr. King, in the future please don't lower your MC's IQ to progress a story, raise the quality of the story or villain.

Lastly: WTF IS GOING ON WITH YOUR COVER!? Neither creature or girl is in the story. The girl is mentioned once in the first 10min of the book, and never mentioned or seen again. The Killer Croc knock of isn't mentioned at all.

Other then these two points look at the rating I gave and give it a shot.

I want to play this game!

I would totally buy this game if it was a real game to play on the PC, gaming system or phone.
The characters get transported into a game world not knowing what was happening beforehand. They are all, as far as we know, sent to different areas alone and then they get to choose a job/skillset after they have survived a certain amount of time.
Being a King book, this is a HaremLit marvel.
I'm really looking forward to book 2.
I'm giving this book 8.5 out of 5 stars.

Good story

If you like Pokemon, Palworld, and Ark with beautiful women. You’re going to like this. The only problem is the you don’t see the women on the cover in this book.

Great Story!!

I had not realized from the description that this had Pokemon like elements, which was a fun addition.

I was taken aback at how abrupt the change to the isakai portion was, but, like the characters, adapted quickly. Dante did not disappoint!

This story read well, and i quite enjoyed it. Both narrators were new to me, and seem like they are getting their feet under them. They did a great job with their enunciation, and Lewis just needs to add a little more inflection in his voice acting, but that was my only complaint.
