About this listen

Jamie Tolland has only ever known his small Oregon town. Same job, same friends, same gay bar. He feels obligated to stay, especially as his mother's illness progresses. But when a situation presents itself in the form of a vintage sports car, he jumps on the chance to not only repair it, but also drive it to its new owner in LA.

Conner Murphy left Oregon years ago to make his life in West Hollywood. Like his unconventional parents, he's always been a free spirit, never settling on one job or girl for too long. When he inherits his late uncle's classic Chevelle, he's more than happy to let his childhood friend Jamie help.

Jamie and Conner are as different as night and day. Even after years of living apart, they still have a blast together - but now it's mixed with an undeniable spark of attraction. Before they know it, they can't keep their hands off each other. For Conner it's all new and exciting, but Jamie isn't the type of guy who takes this sort of intimacy lightly.

Conner soon realizes that Jamie quenches something deep inside of him that no one has before, but he doesn't know how to handle a real relationship. As Jamie's time in LA comes to an end, and the more they struggle to get on the same page about their feelings, the more Jamie realizes that trying to tie Conner down is as futile as capturing the sun.

Kinda Cute, But...

This one was kinda cute, but it took sooo long for any type of anything to happen. The intimate scenes were not very good to be honest. I could relate or feel for both characters in one way or another so that is a bonus. I will probably listen to it again but it will not be in my rotation of books I can listen to on repeat, which is fine! I have only listened to one other by Christina Lee and that one was better, yet still, only once. I will probably revisit that one soon. This can be a sweet listen if you enjoy slow burn then only a fizzle during erotic scenes.

The is is an amazing well written story with a twist. The main characters are loveable and well developed. The story isn't without some angst and there is some hot sexy action that will leave you breathless. The narration was so perfect.

Chase the Sun

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes! It's a wonderful story, and the narrators are fantastic.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Conner was my favorite character. I felt like he grew the most during the story.

What about Tyler Stevens and Iggy Toma ’s performance did you like?

Everything! They brought the guys to life and made me feel like they were the characters. They each always do a great job, and they are two of my favorite narrators.

Any additional comments?

Everything about this audiobook makes me happy. I highly recommend it.

Great Narration...3.4 Stars

While I liked this book, something was missing for me. Maybe what was missing was plot? Maybe chemistry? It had some of both, but I had a difficult time connecting with the MCs for most of the book.

We met Conner in the previous book in the series; Jamie, his childhood friend from Oregon is a new character. Conner intrigued me from time to time, the way he used comedy and sarcasm to hide deeper emotions. However, I had more of a difficult time in how easily he acknowledged the fluid side of his sexuality. Perhaps this is true for some people somewhere, especially if they were raised on a hippy commune as he was, but it didn't ring true for me.

Jamie was a flatter character than Conner--someone leaving his small town for the first time to get a look at the big city. He really didn't interest me much.

While I didn't feel emotionally invested in these characters as I did with the MCs in Touch the Sky, I enjoyed their story well enough--especially the sex scenes ;)

A Classic Car and 2 Hot Men!

Well written, fun, a little introspective and a lot steamy. Great coming of age and love story rolled into one.

Better than the first

A solid feel good love story. Not a lot of angst. Just right, when that’s the thing you’re craving.
