Publisher's summary

Kurt Austin must find a vanished ship and stave off a global catastrophe in the latest novel in the #1 New York Times-bestselling series created by the “grand master of adventure” Clive Cussler.

A freighter carrying top-secret computers of unparalleled capability disappears in the Western Pacific. While searching for a lost treasure that once belonged to the famous Chinese pirate queen, Ching Shih, Kurt Austin and Joe Zavala are redirected to look for the missing vessel.

Discovering that the sinking of the ship is just part of an intricate web of deception, they find themselves in the middle of a cyber-war between rival groups of hackers, both of whom want to control the flow of data around the world.

With no allies except a group of pirates who operate under their own crude laws, Kurt and Joe must rescue a colleague held hostage—while keeping the computers out of Russian or Chinese hands and the world’s digital information safe from the hackers.

Another gratifying listen that's to Graham & Scott

An outstanding NUMA story. As was said of Clive- like a visit from an old friend. Thank you Graham Brown for carrying on the great tradition and Scott Brick for another superb performance. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Tradition continued

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the new Kurt Austin novel out this last month. I am so happy that Clive Cussler had started writing with Mr. Brown and that he was able to continue the series after Mr. Cussler‘s death. I found the story to be just as thrilling and edge of your seat as they have always been and I’m happy the tradition is continuing. This was a great book and as always Scott Brick did a great job reading.

Like the original Clive Cussler stories and just as entertaining!

This book uses the same a story pattern as all the Dirk Pitt novels and although the pattern is predictable, this story is very creative, informative and entertaining with well developed characters that you love or despise. Felt like a genuine book authored by Clive Cussler
