Publisher's summary

Roman - I'm not your typical matchmaker. For one, I'm a man who's covered in tattoos.

Despite my appearance, there's a reason ninety-five percent of my clients seek out my services based on referrals. I'm good at what I do. But lately I've grown bored with the same daily routine. Then an unexpected request piques my interest.

CJ, the former college basketball star who recently rented the office suite next to mine, isn't looking to place a ring on someone's finger any time soon. He's interested in something else entirely. It's a challenge. Something new.

He wants to date casually and explore his curiosity in other men—but that's not my end goal. I specialize in forevers, and I'm determined to find him the perfect guy.

There's an unforeseen problem with my plan. After spending time with him, I find myself a little curious too.

I've never been with a man. I've never been annoyed to see my strategy working. And I've never deliberately set a client up for failure.

Contains mature themes.

Great narration!

Loved this sweet, sweet story. As usual, Iggy Toma did a great job with the narration. I love that this narrator is able to capture the hidden humour in the script and add exactly the right inflection in those moments to have the listener laughing out loud. An absolute pleasure. Highly recommend.

Loved

I loved all 3 of these books! I seen where there is a fourth but not on audible yet! I’m excited!
I love books that can be this sweet but hillarious at times! I’d recommend all 3, but the second one was my favorite!

LOVED THIS

I found it worth the credit. It gave all the feels and that’s what I love about a book. Also, Iggy Toma has the best voice so that alone gives it 5 stars… but the story is good too. I don’t like spoilers so I’ll just say read the synopsis and buy it if it sounds like your kind of story.

Best of the series

This was definitely the best story of the series and they have all been very good. first time gay romance at its Best. Iggy Toma did an outstanding job with the narration and bringing all of these characters to life. great writing job with all of these books by Baylin Crow. Bring on MORE!! love this series.

Wasn't terrible, but really could have been better

3.5 stars

I don't really have much to say. This was fine, but not my favorite. It's just enjoyable enough. I felt like it needed to be a little longer to flesh out some things more than it did. The characters were great, the story has potential, and the writing is good (I just want more of it).

Clueless Romeo

Overall, this was not my favourite of the series. I enjoyed it but I could have done without the second-guessing. Roman is a likeable character so I don’t know why we had to get the titer totter. And don’t get me started on the inner monologue.

On to the next!

Eyes narrowed to slits, backed into walls, but it’s just ok.

Having enjoyed the second in the series, Sweetest Hate, I was curious if this would dip closer to book one, Stripped Love, which I did not enjoy. The good news is like book two, it is (slightly) better than Stripped Love. But Crow does return to form and leave opportunities to die, and actions unadressed.

Dealing with the concept of a modern day matchmaker is already a stretch. This Gay for You story needs a lot of disbelief. My initial problem is that the this book focuses on the twins from Stipped Love. I wasn't a fan of them then, and didn't much care for them here. Add in a heretofore straight matchmaker who can't stop watching the closeted twin play basketball and, Houston, we have a problem. What carries this story is the crazy behavior our matchmaker displays and how he needs a dressing down from his sister to wake up. We do have to deal with the other twin a lot, and the stripper and Arch again, but not too much.

This wasn't one of Toma's strongest outings. Perhaps he was tired of this group of people too. One thing Iggy doesn't do well is accents. He slips in and out of them, lacking the consistency accents require. I felt this as a common thread throughout the series.

I would say to stick with Sweetest Hate and move on. If you need to listen, its fine if included in your membership, but I wouldn't use a credit.
