Stone Barrington is caught in the web of a national smuggling operation in the latest action-packed thriller from the number one New York Times best-selling author.
Stone Barrington is getting some much-needed rest and relaxation in the Florida sun when trouble falls from the sky - literally. Intrigued by the suspicious circumstances surrounding this event, Stone joins forces with a sharp-witted and alluring local detective to investigate. But they run into a problem: The evidence keeps disappearing.
From the laid-back Key West shores to the bustling Manhattan streets, Stone sets out to connect the dots between the crimes that seem to follow him wherever he travels. His investigations only lead to more questions, and shocking connections between old and new acquaintances. But as Stone must quickly learn, answers - and enemies - are often hiding in plain sight....

I must admit that the plot, such as it was , was full of twist and turns that Alfred Hitchcock would be proud of. A good tale, but not one of Stuart Woods best.
Interesting short story

Dino helps Stone see the rotten apple. One woman helps bring the other down.
I love Stuart Woods. I've very likely read everything he's written. Before and during writing his separate series he's written several one off books. I loved Chiefs (which turned out to be about a relative of Will Lee)
The Will Lee series, Holly Barker series, the one off about Rick Barron (the book that introduced Centurion Studios), I find Teddy Fay aka whoever he wants to be an awesome character. I love Stone and Dino and Viv, even Herbie managed to wiggle into my heart a bit. I really love that Woods has intersected my favorites into Stones world.
I am sometimes disappointed with the Stone series. I used to wish for more than one or two a year - now it seems that a book a quarter can mean the quality isn't consistent. In my opinion the weaker the plot the more sex Stone has and the more women he gets involved with. He's always been written as a ladies man - everything from serious relationships to threesomes. A Heavy plot means one woman or no women .. well it's only my opinion.
I love Stone and Stuart Woods .. this is not my favorite book
