Publisher's summary

From acclaimed author Katie McGarry comes an explosive new tale of a good girl with a reckless streak, a street-smart guy with nothing to lose, and a romance forged in the fast lane.

The girl with straight As, designer clothes and the perfect life - that's who people expect Rachel Young to be. So the private-school junior keeps secrets from her wealthy parents and overbearing brothers...and she's just added two more to the list. One involves racing strangers down dark country roads in her Mustang GT.

Seventeen-year-old Isaiah Walker - a guy she has no business even talking to. But when the foster kid with the tattoos and intense gray eyes comes to her rescue, she can't get him out of her mind.

Isaiah has secrets, too. About where he lives, and how he really feels about Rachel. The last thing he needs is to get tangled up with a rich girl who wants to slum it on the south side for kicks - no matter how angelic she might look.

But when their shared love of street racing puts both their lives in jeopardy, they have six weeks to come up with a way out. Six weeks to discover just how far they'll go to save each other.

Male and Female Narrators

What made the experience of listening to Crash into You the most enjoyable?

There are both Male and Female narrators, since the story is written in both male and female POV. However, when the chapter is for the male, he does the voices of the girl when speaking, same thing for when it is the females chapter, she does the voice for the boy, it is not a dialogue between the two narrators. But overall, it is preferable vs. just having one male or female read the entire story.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Crash into You?

I think that this story was great because it had a very strong connection between the male and female leads, and they would do anything for each other, that is what I appreciate when reading a good romance novel.

What does Vikas Adam and Alicia Harding bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

well it makes a huge difference to me that there were male and female narrators, it makes it less corny sounding, and more enjoyable. Plus the male narrator had a very sexy voice.

Any additional comments?

this book was a good read, everything from this author so far is good. She has a pretty general and layout for her stories, both male and female leads have issues (home issues/abuse/parental problems/etc.) and they are from opposite sides of the track, but find something in the other that they need, and then they become loyal and in love to the other. It is not steamy, but it is about young love, and finding it in a dark place, when you really need someone on your side. There is a bit of suspense in her stories, and it makes you wanting to finish right away so you can find out what is finally going to happen, and how everything will play out.

Another Good One

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I would recommend this audio to anyone who has read any of Katie McGarry's other books. This one was a really good read/listen.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Crash into You?

My most memorable moment was when Rachel finally reached her limit, I was proud of her.

Any additional comments?

I though this was another good one by Katie McGarry. She writes really good NA books that keep you engrossed the entire time.

I fell fast...

just like these two did. I don't care that their relationship is a tiny bit ridiculous and just a smidgen unrealistic. I love Katie McGarry she has a way of writing a romance that really cuts pretty deep especially for a couple of 17 year olds.

I love that her characters are always so complex and miss-understood, and we are allowed a rare look into the heart of people who hide for a living. Every time I start one of her books I can't stop until I have devoured the whole thing.

Please tell me there will be more... and who will we hear from next Abby?!?!

A fast paced wild ride you will enjoy I promise.

YAY!

Um.

I love the story, I know this because I'm reading it. I downloaded this to listen to at night while I fall asleep. I really hate how they had the guy who is narrating make his voice all high pitched to show the girl is talking. It's annoying and unnecessary.

Worst male narration of a female character ever

The male narrator does an absolutely HORRIBLE job on the female character voice. It is almost cartoonish in that it's anhigh pitched airhead voice. I haven't even finished the book yet, I'm not sure I can with that.

The male narrator would be good in a dual narration situation where the female counterpart speaks female lines.

Satisfaction for the Gearhead in Me

Only one criticism.. Multiple times they "shift into park".. but its expressly stated that they're driving cars with manual transmissions... Otherwise wonderful book!

Isaiah's story, Pushing the Limits (part 3)

Isaiah's story is somewhat of a continuation of Noah and Echo's story in that he was an important supporting character in "Pushing The Limits" and like a brother to Noah. Isaiah stole my heart much as Noah did but, again, although I expected some foul language as being realistic to their situations, I did wish it was not so all-pervasive. However I, once again, loved the story of Isaiah and Rachel.

Rachel is the only living sister in a large family of brothers and living in the shadow of her long-dead sister. Rachel has her only health issues (mostly due to too much stress and pressure on her) that she tries to keep hidden as she attempts to be the perfect daughter and sister. But her one forbidden love is for 'hot cars' and speed. Thus she meets up with Isaiah -- who we know from Pushing The Limits is a car enthusiast as well.

Ultimately they find unexpected love and acceptance with one another but have to overcome huge stumbling blocks to find their HEA. Since the story ended with Rachel facing a long physical recovery, I do hope to hear more of them in future books of this series.

The narration was very well done.

Very nice story

What made the experience of listening to Crash into You the most enjoyable?

The narration was more than good and it really got me in the mood for the story .. also some of the scenes were much better on voice than if I had read them

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

nothing about the narration .. but the story itself didn't add up well with me

Which scene was your favorite?

I had multi favorite scenes one of them was when Rachel wanted to say the speech and Isiah didn't care and parched in to save her .. so cute

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Love speed .. pay the price

Any additional comments?

this book was very nice but I preferred the second book dare you to more
