About this listen
“Dad, are you okay?”
You might’ve heard this before. Obviously, you’re going to tell your kid that you're fine, that nothing is wrong. But the truth is, as fathers, a lot can happen in our heads. The struggles of mental health, combined with the added burden of being a dad, can make fatherhood a struggle.
Talking about the changes that happen when you become a parent on the father’s side of things is never explored in a deep intricate manner. That’s why, with this book, you’ll learn what you need to know about being a parent.
You’ll learn the many roles you’ll assume, the struggles of being a father, how your past and trauma can impact how you handle fatherhood, and ways to keep your identity so you won’t lose it.
If you’re wondering how you can still be yourself while still being a father, then this book is for you. You’ll learn everything you need to be the best father you can be, while still being yourself!

Story
The long-term effects of yelling at your kids are numerous…and scary. Regular anger episodes can provoke anxiety, low self-esteem, and increased aggression in their teenage and adult years. As a parent, you’ve probably felt guilty each time you yelled at your kids--but what can you do when raised voices and sharp tones seem to be the only thing working to keep them in line? Well, perhaps the problem doesn’t lie in your kids. Maybe it goes much deeper than that.

We can not raise a happy child if we are constantly screaming threats at them. No parent sets out to hurt their child, but this type of parenting does just that. To raise a happy child that wants to behave, you need to retrain yourself first. You need to change the way you think and react to their behavior. You need to understand your triggers and heal yourself. Only then you can begin to heal your relationship with your children.

Close to home.
This is a very great read! It hits very close to home for me, being that I have been in the same boat. No one ever thinks about dads and how they cope with fatherhood. I highly recommend this to all fathers, new or years of experience. I have been a father for many years now and still learning.
