Publisher's summary

Watch out for the Assassin’s Claws...but be even more aware of the Ninja Bunnies!

Dan Moreno is a paid killer, just like his four brothers. It’s the family business - they fight together, they die together. Whether they’re working as a group or alone, they are a tight unit who protect their own. The only fly in their ointment? The neighboring Blythe brood of ninja bunnies who steal their jobs and show them up on the regular.

After years of in-fighting, the Moreno and Blythe families have found a tentative peace and mutual respect after working together to bring down a group intent on revealing the existence of shifters to the world. Mostly...except for the two opposing members who haven’t found a way to coexist. And the chances aren’t great that they ever will.

Twenty-three years ago, Dan scented his true mate in Gil Blythe. After irritating the sassy bunny beyond redemption, Dan had no choice but to walk away and ignore the other half of his soul. Until now. Forced together for one more joint mission, Gil and Dan’s secret is out and both of their families are calling them idiots.

Can two equally proud and stubborn men put the past behind them and give each other a second chance to finally forge a bond that will unite them for all time?

This fifth and final book in the Assassin’s Claws series is about 33k in length. Note: While every book in this series didn’t contain mpreg, this one makes up for it! This book contains a secret magic island, a council made of mythical creatures, and a birth scene that has to be seen to be believed. Get ready for naughty-knotty fun and low-ball humor as only Susi Hawke can provide.

A mating years in the making

Having met and recognized each other as mates years ago, Dan and Gil walked away from each other due to their own makings.
Now, many years later they are being forced to work together and face the spark that's always been present between them which leads to some surprising results.

This being the final book in the series, we get to see many of the previous couples make an appearance in this story but we also get alot of the background of the main characters as well.
We get humor, emotions, action, attraction, steamy scenes, sense of family and a well deserved HEA for Dan and Gil.

The narrarion was clear and the vocalizations was smooth which made this an enjoyable listen.

Cute with clashing personalities!

Dan and Gil are a super fun couple. They misinterpret each other’s meanings, constantly clash, and generally make jerks of themselves. The banter is quite entertaining! The plot is really important, as the story delves into series-sum-up decisions and activities. And who doesn’t love shifter babies and fluffy bunny tails? Zane Daniels brings his excellent narration to life, making Gil’s snarky overconfident self come alive. All the voice distinctions and character personalities are crafted meticulously in this awesome audiobook.

I love this series so much

This book isn't as action packed as the rest of the series, but it is so sweet and it has been a long time coming. Gotta say Gil has been a favorite since the 1st book.I
The narrator awesome job bringing out the love, laughs, cuteness, and absolute stubbornness of the characters.

Assassins and Ninja Bunnies!!

Gil is a super snarky ninja bunny assassin and he’s known for over 20 years that he’s Dan’s fated mate. But Dan doesn’t think before he speaks, and he infuriates his Omega mate. For years, the two families have worked for the greater good together, except for Gil and Dan. The two families join to go on a mission, forced together, their families find out the truth. Truth’s have consequences!! I loved this story so much!! I’m going to miss this series. Definitely a must listen to!! Zane Daniels was fantastic with the narrative, sooo good!

The narrator was pretty good!

I adored the narrator for this book. Once again I loved the story but I still dislike how Dan was portrayed or how Gil basically pushed Dan away. But ninja bunnies!! Lol

This is the last of the series?! What a hangover!

Portuguese puma shifter assassin brothers? Now, that's just totally badass! In Susi Hawke's 'Dance Around, Assassin's Claws Book 5', we are party to the astonishing discovery that Gil Blythe, ninja bunny leader of the Blythe brood is Dan Moreno's, fated mate! Yes! That bunny brood that lives across the way and had been actively competing with the Moreno brothers for assassination gigs! Apparently, they've known for decades and had a major falling out about the roles and responsibilities of an omega--something Gil was DEFINITELY unhappy about! I hooted with laughter then sent the writer a personal Facebook message because the woman was trying to kill me with hysterics! I was sure of it! But the brood had proven more and more useful as the Moreno brother went about their assigned tasks throughout the series. Their sheer numbers make them powerful allies for fighting and for their social connections with other rabbit shifters worldwide. Thanks to Gil Blythe and his bunny brood, the Moreno brothers have been shown up on several occasions and have come to respect the brood in general and Gil in particular. Much to Dan's chagrin, the other brother cannot understand his willingness to stay separate and apart from the other half of his soul for twenty-three long years! An opportunity to witness the trial of the person leading the Open Eyes rebel group. Isaac is called upon to testify and Isaac wants Gil to be there for him, which affords Isaac and his mate Nash some measure of retribution. An unintended heat on the trip forces Gil to give Dan an 'opportunity' he'll never forget. And the series ends with the shifters secret protected and the villains destroyed. I totally love this delightful series of Susi Hawke. Not only did she provide her readers with the ability to check in with the couples from the previous books within the narrative of the current story. She also encouraged them to stay invested in the series as the overall threat that spans all the books is resolved in definitive stages within each individual story. It is beautifully concluded in the last book of the series. The writer's world-building is wonderful as ever and the character development is absolutely awesome both within the books and throughout the entire series. The book hangover is brutal, folks!

Dance Around

I read the book when it first came out back in September. Now I get to enjoy the audiobook.

My book review: Great book. This is my first in the series and while I felt like I was missing out due to not having read the first four books it was still super enjoyable and can be read as a stand-alone. There are definitely some laugh out loud moments that still had me chuckling moments later. Highly recommend.

My audio review: After having recently listened to the last two books, things in here made a lot more sense.

I do recommend reading/listening in order now because some things bleed over into other books. Still could be a stand-alone though.

Zane’s accents are quite yummy. Great narration.

I received a free copy of this audiobook from Gay Romance Reviews and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Dan & Gil

Finally Dan and Gil get their HEA! It's incredible that these two are fated mates and have resisted one another for so many years over simple misunderstandings and miscommunications. I love their banter and their chemistry is absolutely explosive especially once they give in. Thanks to lots of help from both families. we finally get to see these two come together as mates and reach their well deserved HEA. The narrator did a spectacular job with the story and the characters. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audio book.
