About this listen

The first audiobook in a blockbuster new series from USA Today bestseller, Ward Larsen!

In the wilds of Siberia, a top-secret Russian fighter goes missing on a test flight. The Russian Air Force begins a search, oblivious to their error: they are looking in the wrong spot. The pilot, Colonel Maxim Primakov, has crash landed during an attempted defection.

The new chief of CIA clandestine operations, David Slaton, wants desperately to find him, but only one man is in a position to reach Primakov—Tru Miller, a rookie operator. Slaton plots a rescue deep inside Russia, not realizing that he will have to outfox the one other man who knows the truth. Victor Dubonin is a general in Russian intelligence. His search for Primakov is deeply personal—and if he doesn’t succeed it will cost him his life.

Soon a small group of Americans, including its top female test pilot, Kai Drake, find themselves hunted in the wilds of Russia. Their survival will depend on one thing—just how resourceful and lethal they can be.

“Absolutely incredible! With its razor-sharp plot and unforgettable characters, Dark Vector is a MACH 6 launch straight into the stratosphere. The chills you feel reading this one will stay with you LONG after you finish the book.”—Brad Thor, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Shadow of Doubt

Dark Vector lights off the afterburners on page one and never slows back. Fans of Craig Thomas’s classic Firefox will love this contemporary tale of a Russian defector, a top-secret plane, and the American spy who must risk everything to recover both. Pure, unadulterated fun!”—Don Bentley, New York Times bestselling author of Forgotten War

My First Slaton Book

I haven’t read any of Larsen’s Slaton books. I will check them out because I liked this character. I found Tru interesting at first, but then he seemed too reckless. Both he and Kai were frustrating because of their insistence on being daring instead of taking a more rational approach. There were times the story flew by and other times it dragged a little. Overall, a good plot and well written 4.5 / 5 stars. I rounded up because I liked how it ended. I will definitely read the sequel.

Typical brilliantly written Ward Larson book

Awesome story with thrilling action. Sad to see David Slaton more as a background character. But looking forward to more interaction between him and Tru. Two Alphas? Very, very interesting. I cannot believe David left Tru and Kai behind!! My mouth was agape when I read that part. Kai is an interesting new character that I’m sure Larson will built upon. Can you imagine interactions between her and Jammer?! That would be hilarious. Jammer was a missing character that is always good for a laugh. I cannot believe I have to wait a year to find out what was in the file Tru was left reading. I did miss PJ Ochlan narrating. However, Levine did a good job.

Another great book by Ward Larson! The Slaton story continues!

This Slaton turn continues to impress, the worst part is the book is finished and I now have to wait for the next book!
