This has been a hit and miss series for me, but I enjoyed this story very much. Marie & Matt are very likable characters, both are smart and funny and their relationship is a slow burn. There are check ins with other characters from the previous books which is always a nice touch. I would have enjoyed a little more from Matt’s POV, but overall a decent read.

Have really enjoyed all the books in this series so far & this one did not disappoint. Tons of laugh out loud & snort worthy banter & one liners! Hope the next book is included in the Audible Romance Package soon.

What makes this story special is that it really works on the romance buildup and the anticipation. That was a love story that took a while to develop since they started as really good friends. The narration was very good. It seems like it is the last book in the series though.

Great buildup

I've been listening to a lot of Penny Reid's novels recently. from her knitting club line and her Winston men's line and to me this one has by far the funniest scenes. threw this novel I also felt more engaged than her others cheering this Marie on and crying when Marie got hurt. so cheers to Penny Reid and Joy Nash because I'm pretty sure I'll pick up this audio again at some point.

A solid, well written story with an engaging plot, interesting and quirky characters whose issues do not end up being wearisome, repetitive or irritating. Rather it’s an engaging dance towards a happy ending. The narration is good. Overall a fun read - good enough to reread so that makes it well worth the credit.

An fun, enjoyable story sprinkled with strong characters with quirks.

This book was just hilarious, the banter between the characters made it extremely entertaining! As a person working in tech, I also really enjoyed thinking about what it means to be human and the blurring lines between AI and 'humanness' through Maria, Matt and everyone else's eyes.

Tech + humour!

Great character! Not sure why this is labelled a standalone...you have to have listened to or read all the other books prior to to understand this one. Would definitely listen again. And, Marie...she really is that one friend who could almost be overlooked in all the other books...very endearing couple.

Love Matt!

I needed a good strong belly busting laugh this book did it for me. Fun, friends, knitting and romance makes for a good read. A adorable story and the narrator was terrific.

Marie and Matt are so cute and smart! These books are all so smart and enjoyable. I love the friendships between the ladies and in this story we see more of the men’s friendships developing. It is simply great!

Smart, fun addition
