In Jack's own words, he has a "tendency to wander into trouble.' This is the fourth book in the series and that tendency continues.

Working for an insurance company client, Jack and Harmony (now law partners) needs to confirm suicide, accident, or murder. This mystery had a lot of possible characters (hats off to the author) and the twists and turns kept me guessing. I will confess that I guessed wrong each and every time.

I don't know what it is about the narrator but he does not affect any real vocal changes in his characters and yet, I always, always, always know who's talking, male or female. It's a skill.

I hope the next book deals with Harmony's issue. I can't wait.

Rosemary Reeve is a wonderful author. The Jack Hart series is one of the best series I have ever read. The characters are well developed and I love how they interact with each other. This is book 4 in the series and I have read them all. Rosemary has done it again making me wish the book would not end. Noah DeBaise is the narrator of this wonderful series and once again he does a great job. I can't imagine anyone else being the voice of Jack Hart. I was gifted this audiobook with the understanding that I would leave an honest review.

I really enjoyed this legal thriller. The plot was twisted and kept me guessing (and I had it wrong) . I enjoyed the relationship between Jack and his fiance. Not knowing if it was murder or suicide made it even more interesting .
I will be reading more of this author.

Rosemary Reeve has done it again. This is another captivating mystery featuring some really great characters. And Noah DeBiase has definitely become the voice of Jack Hart. His performance is outstanding.

I love the Jack Hart series. It's different and entertaining. If you haven't tried this series you're missing out.

This is the fourth book in the Jack Hart series. I’ve enjoyed the previous three books very much. Each book can be listened to as a stand alone however I would suggest listening to the series in order for continuity of of character development and relationships.
This is an excellent legal thriller. There are multiple plots going on with the two major cases coming together in the end. First a woman falls from her 10 story balcony. Murder or suicide? The insurance company would like to know because if it’s suicide they don’t have to pay. A few days later her sister is murdered and her body mutilated. Meanwhile another company is bilking Medicare out of millions and there’s a whistleblower wannabe who stands to make a large sum of he’s the first. And finally Jack Hart’s fiancé is being railroaded by an FBI agent with something to hide. There are a few red herrings and a surprise ending when the hero turns out to be the antagonist.
Noah DeBiase does a great job narrating.
This book is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Dead Weight is the fourth in the Jack Hart series , of which I have only listened to the first one. This book can be listened to without prior knowledge of the earlier books, however, I would have liked to have read the evolution of Jack and Harmony. Dead Weight is about the murder or suicide of a girl who has recently lost a lot of weight. Great characters, fast pace, good dialogue, very unexpected story with multiple twists. The narration by Noah DeBiase is good . A very enjoyable listen. I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
