About this listen
"The accuracy of medical details and credible bomb threats mixed with genuine characters guarantees an unputdownable read. Buckle in and get ready for a fast-paced ride!" —Ivanka Fear, author of The Dead Lie and Where is My Husband?
A trauma patient's dying request of AJ Docker leads him and his retired police dog, Banshee, to embark on their latest adventures. Partnering with his patient's sister, they embark on a quest to uncover powerful research that could alter the course of humanity. Shadowy enemies pursue them in Washington, D. C., in a race to capitalize on the information, while a new threat reveals itself at Doc's hospital. A greedy corporation is attempting to take over the emergency room, threatening the quality of healthcare nationwide. Doc has to fight a billion-dollar company to save more patients' lives as well as the careers of competent medical professionals. Banshee has his back as he battles on all fronts.
Deadly Equation, book four in the AJ Docker series, delivers nonstop action alongside dramatic scenes from the emergency room. Using his own medical experience, Gerlacher brings listeners into the chaotic, sometimes humorous, and sporadically violent world of the emergency room.

Story
It's June in Montreal, and Dr. Temperance Brennan, who has left a shaky marriage back home in North Carolina to take on the challenging assignment of Director of Forensic Anthropology for the province of Quebec, looks forward to a relaxing weekend in beautiful Quebec City. First, though, she must stop at a newly uncovered burial site in the heart of the city. The remains are probably old and only of archeological interest, but Tempe must make sure they're not a case for the police. One look at the decomposed and decapitated corpse, stored neatly in plastic bags, tells her she'll spend the weekend in the crime lab.

Story
Two little girls stand with their heads bowed in my living room. I’m told they’re my granddaughters. Daisy is nine, and Alice seven. Daisy is the spitting image of her mother. This is the first time I’ve met them since my daughter and I fell out after she married that waste of space, Vince. They’ve come to live with me because their mother — my daughter — was murdered. In her own home while they slept close by. I think Vince killed her. But the police can’t prove it. I’ve always known he was no good. He treated my daughter like dirt. I said he’d cheat on her — but she wouldn’t listen.

Story
When Dr. Tom More (of Love in the Ruins) is released on parole from state prison, he returns to Feliciana, Louisiana, the parish where he was born and bred, and where he practiced psychiatry before his arrest. Upon arriving, he notices something strange in almost everyone around him: unusual sexual behavior in women patients, a bizarre loss of inhibition, a lack of complexity in speech - even his own wife’s extraordinary success at bridge tournaments, during which her mind seems to function like a computer.

Story
Before my world came crashing down, I had it all. The successful career I dreamed of. The beautiful red-brick home where I could relax in front of the fire. The handsome, devoted husband whose blue eyes and charming smile always made me feel safe. As I call time of death, my voice is steady. My colleagues stand hushed around me, their eyes on me, confused, concerned.

Fell in love with the dog!
The storyline was very interesting. I loved the museum description and now wonder about all the tunnels. I wish there were more stories by this author.

Complex plot, the running banter
Nothing to dislike unless there are no other books planned in this series. Need the book concerning Miami.
