Publisher's summary

The stakes are higher than ever as the Wall Street Journal bestselling series continues.

Lying low on the sun-kissed coast of Portugal is a far cry from twenty-four-hour lockdown in a CIA black-site prison. But even in paradise, Gibson Vaughn is a long way from being home free. With the feds hot on his heels, he and his crew of fellow fugitives know they can’t hide in a sunny beach town forever. And before they go on the run again, their generous host - a wealthy drug smuggler - expects to be paid for his hospitality. And paid double.

His price? A nearly impossible operation that Gibson and his gang must pull off to retrieve a king’s ransom in hijacked narcotics. Even if they make it out alive, they’ll have to face the wrath of a ruthless Mexican cartel that plays dirty…and is used to winning. But when Gibson discovers there’s far more than drugs at stake, the heist becomes a daring mission of rescue and mercy - and righteous vengeance.

Loved it!!

I listened to the book twice right in a row. I had trouble getting into the book because I couldn’t keep the characters straight. Finally slowly it began to make sense. Then I couldn’t put it down. Was disappointed when it ended, so I started it again. I wanted to see if I could figure out the first part this time around. But I just kept going clear through the whole thing again. I picked up so much more the second time. Loved this book, and confirmed to myself not to stop a book too early!

Very Impressive Trilogy Follow Up!

This fourth installment of the "Gibson Vaughn series: "Debris Line" , follows an excellent trilogy that closed one chapter with Debris Line opening another of the resourceful protagonist Gibson Vaughn; a Marine, Criminal, Computer Genius, Father, and victim to a number of nefarious characters from all walks of life because he was asked to help find a missing girl, then help a judge and then full circle tasked to find the man who set his original quest in motion for the missing girl. All three of these excellent reads from newcomer Mathew Fitzsimmons hitting the New York Times Best Seller List with his debut "The Short Drop" and then again with the following two Gibson Vaughn thrillers: "Poisonfeather" and "Cold Harbor" are a abundantly entertaining, most suspenseful, with some surprisingly good twists and turns that make these and now this fourth installment ""Debris Line" addictive finger burning page turners! Debris Line features new and interesting; if not questionable to most nefarious characters and brings back some old that makes this book familiar while being painstakingly suspenseful because old friends may not be as friendly as Gibson's new ones ; a thiller to the end!

Best of the 4 Books

There were plots inside of plots and layers. Character development was 1st rate. And the audio book reading - THE BEST. I loved it. You must listen, not just read - this guy is a great narrator for a great writer.

The series stayed together, great listen.

Characters had their own personalities and stories. Like them or not they were a part of the story.
I enjoyed all of the 4 books.

My favorite in the series

Taking place in Portugal this takes a turn in a different direction. You find yourself really pulling for the characters in the book

Gibson Vaughn and Friends In Portugual

I read a the first novel by this author The Short Drop and have been a fan ever since. Can’t wait to get the next book in the Gibson Vaughn series. Gibson is not your usual hero. He is a hacker and was with the government until he and some ‘friends’ got caught up in a scandalous event that got them imprisoned. Now the four are again on the run but this time they are running from a Portuguese crime family who had originally given them sanctuary to recover from their experience in previous book. Somehow Gibson gets involved with an invisible hacker who wants to ‘steal’ the product distributed by the crime family. The story is about the characters of the family and the friends of Gibson and how they get intertwined to eventually clean up a big secret. There is violence, shootings, but in the end it all works out. I love this series and am again waiting for the next adventure. I listened in audible and am fascinated by the variety of voices the narrator James Patrick Cronin uses to convey the story. He is excellent.
