Publisher's summary

In the world of Harmony, Rainshadow Island is home to a mysterious preserve, secrets that have been kept for centuries, and a treasure worth killing for.…

As a light-talent, Alice North has the rare ability to make things disappear, including herself - a gift that comes in handy during her magic act with her dust bunny Houdini. Business mogul Drake Sebastian is day-blind, since his sight was nearly destroyed in a lab accident. But he’s the one man who can see Alice when she disappears - and he needs her. On Rainshadow Island, two dangerous Old World crystals are missing, igniting a paranormal storm. Drake thinks Alice is the key to finding them, and proposes they head there, but only after a marriage of convenience.

Alice’s honeymoon on Rainshadow is guaranteed to be memorable, as the island - and the passion between her and Drake - is about to explode.…

I want more

Another Rainshadow Mystery with dust bunnies galore. Can't get enough of those little creatures. Is this my second or third time with Houdini. always love these critters. The story line is great too.

Loving Castle’s series

Even though these books don’t follow as far as numbers in which series I’m loving them. There’s ghost hunters, rain shadow and one more. They meld together well! This series is so creative! Hats off to you Jayne!!

Have you found yourself quoting with the book?

This is a trivial complaint that reflects on all of Jayne Castles works and does not reflect on Deception Cove as it was a very entertaining, fun paced, action and mystery set in the future behind the implacable curtain. But do you find yourself almost able to repeat verbatim the rules and refs of marriages, child rearing, and the original colonists intent? Good. I was hoping I wasn't the only one. But! In Deception Cove these descriptions aren't the cut and paste normally done. The rules and explanations are actually incorporated in the action and character motives. So not only one of the better books of the series, it's also a change of explaining the old marriage rules! Definately worth a credit or as I was able to do, Buy it on Sale!

Love Harmony

As always, Castle's worlds are a great mix of paranormal and romance. Always a great place to get lost in.

Jayne Castle produces another winner

With an excellent Author and narrator how can you go wrong.

All of books in the Arcane. Ladies of Lantern Street, Dark Legacy and Harmony series are an auto buy for me. Not that some of Jayne Ann Krentz's other series and books are not worth reading or buying for example the Lost Colony series (early Harmony clone) Lavinia Lake / Tobias March series and Eclipse Bay series/books to name but a few

I hope we hear more about Rainshadow and the world of Harmony for a long time to come.

Spoiler Alert

As there are 3 Sebastian siblings and 3 missing crystals as noted in The Lost Night, I had hoped that meant the third crystal will be tackled in the third book along with inducing the third sibling a sister. But with all crystals now accounted for . . . who knows . . I guess we will have to wait for the next installment to find out.

As for meeting the next Dust Bunny it.s going to be a hard wait to meet the next successor to bunnies like Elvis and Houdini. each one in the past has had him or her own unique personality and contribution to each story

Is it worth buying - YES

If you like a touch of Paranormal or books set in alternate worlds you will find it hard to find a better author than Jayne Ann Krentz

Jayne Ann Krentz also writes under Jayne Bentley, Jayne Castle, Amanda Glass, Stephanie James, Amanda Quick, Jayne Taylor. The most famous being Jayne Ann Krentz contempory, Amanda Quick past and Jayne Castle future themed books.

Totally enjoyable.

I was highly entertained and had some funny moments. I would recommend this series alone with the Arcane Society, and Ghost Hunter series.
