About this listen

Delphi Alliance is book five in the best-selling scifi adventure series Delphi in Space....

The series follows the McCormacks and their friends as they drag Earth from a backwater world in the galaxy to the forefront of interstellar civilizations. They leverage the technology from the Sakira to build MacKenzie Discoveries into a world-leading technology company and eventually into an interstellar juggernaut.

The McCormacks have their floating city growing in the South Pacific, and their space station well underway. As they continue their quest to unite Earth and bring her into the modern age of space travel and repair her environment before it’s too late, they have to fight with the major powers that aren’t too sure they want to change the status quo.

Now they have discovered an incoming asteroid the size of Ceres. What will it take to unite Earth to deal with this threat to its very existence? And what other threats may be lurking there? Now it’s time to step up, for Delphi and all the nations of Earth.

Delphi series

The narrator has improved significantly. There
Is now emotion in her voice. This much improves the book for me

great book

too much details on how stuff works. I was in the us navy and I don't know any commander who would leave a enemy weak and come back for another day let alone come back for multiple days. I love how you can tell it trump without saying it

Darn Good Youth Sci-fi

Not only is this a good fast paced story, but the characters have depth. Even the smarter than your average human girl heroine gets called on the carpet when she messes up.

A Soothing Listen

I really liked this book because of its effect on me at this time.

To be clear, this is not the best or most exciting book ever. BUT, it falls into the same category as the early "Quarter Share" books in that it builds in a way that is not overly glaring but is *satisfying*. In a time when everything around everyone seems to be going to hell, this book paints a picture of people who are getting things accomplished and it's a balm, at least for me.

This sounds like a backhanded compliment, but I mean it sincerely. To have characters create something sci-fi and do it in such a way that you don't get a bunch of "magic goo" type of explanations kicking you out of the story is a skill in itself. Balancing that with just enough political fall out to give the story tension and progression is impressive and Bob Blanton has kept it up for five books so far without dropping a plate. Yes, people are a little too rational, yes the world is idealized and yes some of the technology is convenient. Lightsabers not constantly cutting off body parts also happens but we ignore it.

If you like this kind of story, you will like this. If you don't, you won't. It's really that simple. It gets an A grade from me.

The story made me persevere through the narrator

I've been listening since book one. At the end of that book I did Not intend to continue because the narrator was so incredibly horrid. However, the story brought me back after only a couple weeks and Thank God, the narrator had improved a bit. She's still nowhere near good but the storyline keeps me coming back.

I can't wait to see what happens in the relations between Delphi and the rest of the world, what they do with the rebel Paraxeans and just where the hell that device disappeared to!

Bad book

If you like this type of books. Don’t wast you money and time I try until now. This pass from bad to extremely bad. Politics, military strategy and overall logic is to far of to stay in the story.

Better then last but 14 year old Mugiffen ridden

This book and reading is again better than the last. But still Mugiffened ladnened with a 14 year old child. in the first couple book at least other people were capable. But in the following books it's mostly only the 13/14 year old. and a couple of 10-12 year old twins are the most capable 0 g people. which is idiotic. yes young ppl learn faster but 10 -12 year olds are very physically awkward. they are growing and thier brains need time to coordinate with their contstant new body dimensions. the author seems to have no concept of this.

I still do like the concept of these books. and they are not as bad as previous books. And I don't mind the idea of young ppl contributing great ideas because they havnt limited themselves but it's taken to idiotic extreme. many of the "brilliant" ideas they have are pretty basic. It's a very poor execution of the idea.

I woukd have given this book a 2.5 but I can't. so I rounded up to be nice. the writing over all is still poor but slightly improving. the performance is getting slightly better also.

I still have many wtf moments listening in pretty much every chapter. But the performance, story and writing have improved so I'll try the next one in the hopes it continues to improve.

Again I really like the concept the books are based on. it's unique and fun. I hope for more improvement in the following books.

And I hope the author gets some concept of patenting in his writing. currently his child would be taken away from him if he was a parent in the situation of the character Mark. That man is a TERRIBLE father.

I know I'm being harsh. But it's my honest criticism. And hopefully by being honest it helps the author and performer know where they are sorely lacking.

Also idk how anyone can ligit give this a 5 star they are either fmaily/friends or very basic.

anti US

I don't like the constant non stop anti US attitude coming from the author throughout the book
