This installment of the Delphi series, as all of those narrated by Gurd, feature mispronunciations of common English words and monotone/flat narration that might as well have been delivered by a text to speech synthesizer. The delivery is not the only problem, however. The quality of the plot and the continued lack of character development suggest the author is phoning it in at this point. With “just so” stories and Deus Ex machina abound, no real challenges or action, and, well, a boring and overdone premise and execution, this book is not worth owning in any medium. This reader would like a refund.

Terrible narration, boring plot, not worth the money
