About this listen

Born of the U.S. government s 1928 raid on the degenerate coastal town of Innsmouth, Massachusetts, the covert agency known as Delta Green spent four decades opposing the forces of darkness with honor, but without glory. Stripped of sanction after a disastrous 1969 operation in Cambodia, Delta Green leaders made a secret pact: To continue their work without authority, without support, and without fear. Delta Green agents slip through the system, manipulating the federal bureaucracy while pushing the darkness back for another day but often at a shattering personal cost.

In Delta Green: The role-playing game, you are one of those agents! The quickstart rulebook of Delta Green: Need to Know includes everything you need to play Delta Green. Complete rules for conducting investigations, overcoming crises, fighting for your life, and watching your sanity slip away. Complete rules for character creation. Six characters, ready to play. A Delta Green operation, last things last, ready for the Handler (the game moderator) to introduce your team to Delta Green tonight.

This is only the beginning. Deeper terrors can be found in Delta Green: The role-playing game and its sourcebooks, available from Arc Dream Publishing.

The fact that and RPG was made into an audiobook.

I'd enjoy more RPG audiobooks. Whether to follow along or get a hang of things while on the move

An amazing paradigm shift for RPG rulebook!

I love this! An excellent way to learn rules on the go. I play many different games and with an audio version of the rules, you can brush up on concepts very easily. Cheers to the team that created this audiobook, and I hope we get many more in the future!

An Audio Version of the QuickStart Rules

This was a nice (and cheap) surprise here on Audible. It’s the Quickstart rules to the 2016 edition of Delta Green, funded via Kickstarter.

The rules gives you a basic understanding of how to play and make a character, although you will need the full Core Rulebook to truly enjoy the game. What’s here is enough to teach the game, and it also provides a very short intro adventure for players to test the game out with.

This is a lot of fun, and in many ways in a nice alternative to listening to play sessions. I listened to this while painting some Warhammer miniatures and was still able to follow along and retain the rules changes since my 1999-2000 copy of the game.
