Publisher's summary

As an ancient Sumerian god, Sin was one of the most powerful among his pantheon. . . Until the night Artemis brutally stole his godhood and left him for dead. For millennia, this ex-god turned Dark-Hunter has dreamed only of regaining his powers and seeking revenge on Artemis. If only life were that simple.

Unfortunately he has bigger fish–or in Sin's case–demons, to fry. The lethal gallu that were buried by his pantheon are now stirring and they are hungry for human flesh. Their goal is to destroy mankind and anyone else who gets in their way. Sin is the only one who can stop them—that is if a certain woman doesn't kill him first. Unfortunately, Sin discovers that now he must rely on her or witness an annihilation of biblical proportions.

Enemies have always made strange bedfellows, but never more so than when the fate of the world hangs in the balance. Now a man who knows only betrayal must trust the one person most likely to hand him to the demons. Artemis may have stolen his godhood, but this one has stolen his heart. The only question is will she keep it or feed it to the ones who want him dead?

Love in vein: listen to another Dark-Hunter novel.

"Sin, a Sumerian fertility god turned Vegas casino owner, and Kat, the zealous servant of bossy Greek goddess Artemis, knock boots and kick butt in Kenyon's juicy...paranormal love-fest." (Publishers Weekly)

Devil May Cry A Dark-Hunter Novel.

A Dark-Hunter created to fight to defend the human race from the Gallu Diemon is known as Sin. He is also called by his people by the name Nana, is a Sumerian god that was charged with protecting the human race. From the creature that their father and his wife have created intending to use them on the Atlantean gods. But, unknown to them, this creature is known as Gallu and Dimme their creator was one of their pantheon name Anu. She died by the hands of the same creatures she created. After this Sin asked and begged his father to destroy this creation and their father refused. His brother Zaker advises Sin to let them be and that the enemy inside is going to be the enemy that ends them. He equally asks his brother to learn to be a survivor, for someday they will be the ones to save the human race. As time goes by Sin lost all, and every member of their family and all their pantheon except the last two who are Sin and Zaker. Artemis, a goddess, was responsible for taking all of Sin’s god power with the help of her daughter. Sin was left as a dark hunter, but he does not hunt the Appolight diemon that attack the human. Sin had to find the Sumerian Tablet of Destiny as it is used to absorb the powers of the gods. Before they can be killed or dammed with any kind of cause, they want to or intended. But the Gallu leader was able to strike the Sumerian god with a killing knife of the Sumerian god. While Sin lied dying, she cried to her father to save Sin. She said she cannot live without him, and her father reminded her about changing destiny. And that the cost is great to her if she wants to save Sin’s life, he told her only her what she needs to do. She did not hesitate to go to Sin, kissed him with loved and tenderness, and giving him all her powers. Sin was able to realize the extent of her loved and the reason why she never uses all her powers. They both got married and lived together, including expecting their first child. Sin thought it was the best revenge for Artemis becoming her son-in-law and he gets to give her grandchildren.

Artie strikes again. Please let Simi just eat her!

What did you like best about this story?

I love this story. Thank the gods Katra doesn't take after her mom. Nature vs nurture at it's finest. Sin, love the inference.

NARRATOR IS HORRIBLE!!

I LOVE this book series but this narrator has ruined the book for me! Mispronounced most of the names and RUINED SIMI for me!! So sad because I love these books but to hear everything mispronounced and the characters energy, voice, tone and all around presence, absolutely butchered is too much!! This narrator is going to cost readers to stop. PLEASE bring back the previous narrator!!!

Don’t like this narrator

Great story, but this narrator changed pronunciation of names and how they sound and it feels like some of the magic was taken with that. Love the book.

HATE the Narrator!! I'm done!

As much as I've grown to love these characters, I can't put myself through another full book with Holter Graham telling the story!! He is HORRIBLE!!! Aside from him pronouncing Acheron (Asheron) wrong through the ENTIRE book....he absolutely RUINED Simi!!!! Her sing, songy wit is HER! Fred Bergman has spoiled us and Graham butchered her!!! I looked forward to the Dark Hunter series (not the Dream Hunter) and the next one is Acheron.....narrated by Graham. There is no way in Hell would I be able to tolerate over 23 hrs of him mispronouncing Ash's name!!!!!!!!!! UGH!!!!!! He should've probably done some research, by maybe listening to the previous books....before he agreed to take the job!! Oh well.....on to another series....I'm done with this one!!

After listening to this narrator read The Dark Side of the Moon I can't even try to listen to any other books read by him in this series. His voice is all wrong for paranormal romance
