Abby has been through hell and has survived one of the most brutal childhoods imaginable. To the outside world, she is just a loner with an attitude. When her grandmother dies in a tragic explosion, Abby is left with questions - and nothing else. Homeless, sleeping in a junkyard, and on the run from a system that has failed her over and over again, she meets Jake, a tattooed, blue-eyed biker with secrets that rival her own. Two broken souls that can't be healed. They can't be saved. Abby and Jake have to decide if they can accept the darkness not only within one another but within themselves. If they can accept each other for who they really are, they might be able to learn that love isn't always found in the light.

what an awesome book. brought me back to the days when i read [book:Captive in the Dark|12513614]
and [book:Twist Me|20762281] because of how raw it is. i had a roller coaster of emotions while reading this book: sadness, joy, arousal, hate, fear, relief, anger. everything u would hope a book would make u feel. and lets not forget desire to read more.
i mean, i loved both Abby and Jake. they both had been through so much. i hated Owen and a few others. i loved Georgia too. i wanted Abby to have a better life. i was glad when she let her guard down with Jake. then i was mad at Jake for being an ass. but there journey back to each other was a really good one.
the caption for this book was definitely correct when it said it isn't ur typical love story. can't be when u have the type of abuse like in this story. u wont be disappointed though. it's just enough to invoke the right kind of feelings through out the story.

Awesome Read

I knew this was going to be a challenging listen, but the twists and turns made me think about how life throws you a curve ball. You never know what’s around the bend or how someone interprets something. I he’s to find out what happened in the end... I’m happy I kept going!

Very dark... and I still couldn’t put it down....

Would you consider the audio edition of The Dark Light of Day to be better than the print version?

I don't do the print version

What other book might you compare The Dark Light of Day to and why?

It's one of a kind, I haven't come across one like it, and it's truly a very good book with how people that have been tortured in their life finally get their revenge.

What does Christian Fox and Lucy Rivers bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I thought the narration was good, I had no trouble knowing who was talking, I think they did a fine job

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I did both

Any additional comments?

I read some of the reviews and I think, in my opinion that this book is well worth the money or the credit, you won't be dissapointed.

Excellent book and well worth a credit

I couldn’t put this story down. I listened to it in one long day. I did have to listen to one nasty scene in the middle on 1.5 speed, but it was brilliantly done. I did miss Christian Fox as he only speaks the prolog and epilogue and I love his voice, but I thought Lucy did a great job of narration. I got this through audible escape. I am off to listen to the next story in the series.

Fabulous story
