About this listen

A USA TODAY BESTSELLER FROM THE AUTHORS OF THE TIKTOK SENSATION, ADDICTED TO YOU!

Starting fresh is the only way Phoebe can escape a life of crime, but her best friend's older brother complicates honest dreams in this gripping new series from the authors of the Addicted series.

Phoebe Graves grew up in a family where deception and seduction are as commonplace as breathing. The Graves and her best friend Hailey’s family have been on the run their whole lives, but after a high-stakes con job goes south, Phoebe and Hailey decide to run away and start over. The small Connecticut town they settle in seems too good to be true.

The biggest flaw in their plan is Hailey’s frustratingly handsome brother, Rocky, who insists on coming with them. Living honestly isn’t in his DNA, and his past with Phoebe is downright messy. He’s everything she wants, but nothing she can have.

Phoebe worries that Rocky will tempt them back into their old ways, where lying is second nature. She doesn’t want Rocky to mess up the new life she’s begun for herself. The longer she stays in town, the more she realizes what it means to have a reputation—and what a normal life with the man she loves could look like.

Excited to see KBR continue this series!

I was so excited to see KBR create this new universe, but I was also a bit nervous. As someone who loves the addicted/calloway sister series, I hadn’t read anything else by them. However, even though it took me a while to get into this book. I’m so glad that I read it. I really liked the characters, and I found myself really invested in the plot. I do wish that there was a bit more romance, because I, thought that it focused a little bit too much on the con aspect of the book and plot line. Overall, I’m really excited for a book too to see where KBR takes this series!

“Rocky and I, together, are a volcanic eruption. One that’ll never end, not until the whole world is coated in magma.”

Krista and Becca Ritchie have absolutely blown me away with the angsty new world they’ve created with Dishoneslty Yours. This is their first entry in their Webs We Weave series. Con artist best friends trying to live a normal honest life, after their most recent con job went badly. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to go as easily as they’d hope. Especially when one of their own follows them into their new life.

If you know me, then you know I already have an affinity for the Ritchie’s beloved Addicted series. With Dishonestly Yours they’ve created a cast of new characters, a tense love story, and a world that feels all its own while maintaining the layered and immersive style of writing they are known for. It was so easy for me to root for Phoebe and Rocky’s love story and want the best for all the side characters as well.

I listened to the audio while also reading the paperback and annotating. The audiobook is perfection. The voice actors did a fantastic job translating the electric tension between our mains Phoebe and Rocky. Their grumpy/grumpy quick banter and the glimpses at cons past had me flipping pages so quickly and I swear I couldn’t highlight fast enough. Quotable is an understatement for the writing in this book. The found family of it all being revealed slowly enough that you truly invest in these characters and their families made it so easy to fall for the side characters (Hi Nova ☺️).

If you haven’t taken the Krista and Becca books leap, Dishonestly Yours is the perfect opportunity. Angsty new adult romance with con artist friends/families who are trying to go honest. A brand spanking new series and a brand new cast of characters whose journey you can follow from the start. The only “con” here is waiting for the next book, but in my opinion, worth it.

WOW. OBSESSED WITH THIS.

UMMM. Obsessed. Wow. Wasn’t ready for how much I’m absolutely OBSESSED with this.
I absolutely LOVED that this was all about the children. All of the chaos in the web of family lifestyle.
PHOEBE AND ROCKY 🙌🏼👌🏼
Hailey, Trevor, Nova, Oliver 🙌🏼 I was absolutely obsessed with every single one of these characters.

This was such a good storyline I hadn’t read yet! I LOVED this plot. I absolutely cannot WAIT for the rest of this series to unfold and how they take us on this journey. I couldn’t put this book down, I couldn’t stop. And I didn’t want too. I hope they give us more into the other characters in this series ( or breakaway books) but P&R 🫠🫠 my heart. The “hate”, the longing, the love my gosh I just absolutely obsessed with them. The tension, the drama, secrets and lies 👌🏼

I don’t know what else to say but READ THIS.

AND THE TWIST AT THE END 🤯🤯🤯

Great Start

This was a great start to the new series. there are a lot of questions and it does move a little slow but if you're familiar with these authors you know that the build up is all part of the story and everything will come together. I wasn't quite sure about this one but I should have know better I was quickly pulled in and invested in these characters and their stories. I can not wait to see what happens next! Narration was done really well.

This book is so angsty & messy!!! I feel like if you’re a fan of their Addicted/Calloway series, you’ll like this one, even though the setting & plot is different. I think they are going to form the series in a similar fashion perhaps? With different books for different characters/couples, with an overarching plot that connects them all. I haven’t read anything from these authors yet, but I’ve heard plenty of things about their writing & this is definitely up their alley. This book is about two con artist families, that have been working together forever. This book specifically centers around Rocky & Phoebe. They have worked on cons together, usually in a fake relationship or as brother & sister. They have both been pining for one another for years, but have had to watch each other with other people, due to their families & cons. After a con goes terribly, Phoebe & Rocky’s sister Hailey decide they want to live a normal, true life. Rocky ends up crashing their plans. I was not really loving this book in the beginning & honestly, the last 20% saved this book & series for me. At first, I couldn’t really see the bigger picture of the plot & the romance and characters were annoying. (Hello angst & hot mess express). The book finally came together at the end for me. The romance & plot finally started making sense, and I started actually enjoying the characters. I really like the found family of all the kids from the con artist families. I loved the ending & am really looking forward to where Krista & Becca will take this series & these characters.

Thank you Krista & Becca Richie & Valentine PR for the ARC!
