About this listen

From #1 Best-Selling Amazon author, this Noah Kahan-coded, The Notebook meets Sweet Home Alabama, contemporary romance is bound to give you all the feels.

Riggins has been in love with Stella for as long as he can remember. As kids, they’d sneak out and spend long nights under the stars writing songs together, sharing their deepest confessions, and dreaming about getting out of their small town. When his band gets a record deal and a headlining tour, he convinces her to come see the world with him, and she agrees.

It doesn’t take long before Riggins gets too far into the rockstar lifestyle, and everything begins to fall apart, including his relationship. When she leaves without a word and never looks back, it leaves him shattered, spiraling, and confused.

Until he finds out why…Seven years ago, Stella went on tour with her childhood love. When things fell apart, it broke her, and she’s spent every moment since putting herself back together, crafting a facade that will please everyone around her while forcing herself to survive. It’s going well until one day, Riggins shows up at her house in their small town of Ashford, New Jersey, and blows her safe little world apart. Now they’re stuck piecing together their versions of the past and seeing if they can move forward.

Amazing Story & Narration🎧Captivating & Emotional!

Morgan Elizabeth pens an amazing second chance romance, one of my favorite tropes, and combined with another of my favorite tropes, rock star romance and I absolutely loved it! This book isn’t your typical anything, which makes it even more special, and you could feel how much heart the author put into the story as the emotions pour off the pages and into your heart. Riggins and Stella were each other’s rock growing up, and their friendship morphed into something so much more. Riggins and his band got a record deal, and while Stella was not in the band, she was friends with all of them and wrote some of their songs. Riggins wanted her to go on tour with him, which she did, against her controlling mother’s advice and to her prediction it ruined her, or rather, Riggins did. Riggins’ and Stella’s journey was not an easy one, told in alternating timelines, from past to present, we get a glimpse of what happened then and what is going on in current times. Their story tugged at my heartstrings like no other, it was relatable, raw and real. I loved the complexity of the characters, all the layers of this story and how it all played out, with the plenty of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions and a wonderful second chance romance. The writing, plot and world building are incredible, as are the character growth and development, too. Morgan Elizabeth, thank you for this amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 Stephen Dexter and Emma Wilder delivered a fabulous performance voicing these characters, embodying their personality completely, and were believable in every role. Dexter rocked it in Riggins’ role, playing it like he was in Riggins’ shoes and was a natural in the role, and Wilder was just as amazing in Stella’s role, grasping her hurt and raw pain, then her strength and determination. You could hear how much heart they put into their performance as they captured all the characters’ emotions, their angst and had you feel it all. These talented voice artists are entertaining storytellers, and their captivating performance keeps you glued to the story.

Five out of Five Stars!!!

This story is extraordinary! Morgan Elizabeth is a new to me author, but I can tell you that I am very much looking forward to listening to more of her books.
At times it was difficult to hear what Stella and Riggins were going through and the amount of pain they were enduring. There were also times where I was questioning if they could ever heal and come together. She had to learn to forgive him and understand why he went through his self-destruction.
Emma Wilder and Stephen Dexter could not have given a more stunning performance. They brought out every emotion, most especially the extreme sadness that these characters experienced.
My heart went out Stella who was emotionally abused by her mother so badly she was diagnosed with depression. She lived next door to Riggins, and they were best friends. She struggled for many years to be brave enough to stand up to her and she had to learn to be at peace and let the pain go. Pain that was crushing her soul from years of emotional abuser and their turbulent relationship.

Riggins was right there for her to lean on but only after years of fighting his own demons. He was becoming a Rock Star, and he had to battle with his addiction and prove he was worthy of her forgiveness for hurting her so badly as well. He loved her very much and needed her, but she was scared of him hurting her again. This book will definitely be a repeat listen!
“We stopped at the top of the steps of the porch he fixed for me. Finally, I stop and stare at him, remembering Beckett’s words again. Are you too scared to reach for something beautiful? No. No, I’m not. I’ve let fear win for too long. Where has that gotten me? “I’m not scared of the water anymore, Riggins,” I say, looking at him. His hand lifts, brushing his hair back. “I’m not scared of drowning.” I whisper the words into the night sky and feel the strength the stars have always given me, the courage to speak truths that are too scary to say in the bright light of day.”

Second Chance Narrated Beautifully

When I started reading this book, I wasn't sure how much I would like it. But after finishing it, I can tell you that I really loved this story.
Morgan Elizabeth brings a story that will make you feel all the emotions you don't want to feel and some that you didn't expect.

Riggins and Stella have a beautiful second chance story with heartbreaking, healing, and overcoming addiction as well as learning to navigate a mental health diagnosis.

Riggs and Stella have a love that can stand the test of time. But it is not an easy road. Their love is fought for, even if it is years later.

I was so excited to listen to this audio since Emma Wilder was narrating. I don't know why, but I love her voice when she changes it for the MMC parts. When she narrates for Stella, she brings you all the emotions and heartbreak that Stella went through.
Stephen Dexter is quickly becoming one I enjoy listening to more and more. He was great with his part as Riggs. He has a great tone for a man fighting for his wife. It is smooth in a way that your ears will love.

Second Chance Rockstar Romance

This is a second chance, rockstar romance with mental health representation. I am use to Morgan Elizabeth's book having more of a romcom feel. This one is much heavier and emotion packed, giving us another side to Morgan Elizabeth's talented writing styles. Stella and Riggins story is told in flashbacks giving us a better understanding of where things went wrong as the couple meets again for the first time in years.

The audiobook narration is done by Emma Wilder & Stephen Dexter. They were incredibly easy to listen to and brought me right into the story. They did a fantastic job portraying the emotions wrapped up in the story.

Great story, not too fond of the narrators

When I'm reading a book and end up buying the audio version mid read, it always means I love the book and need to be able to listen to it while running errands or doing things around the house. All My Love fell into this category for me. Sadly, I wasn't too impressed with the narrators so I went back to reading the book.

Stella and Riggins

Riggins and Stella

The narrators did a really good job telling the story and giving them a voice that kept me engaged and interested.

This did have some The Notebook and Sweet Home Alabama vibes to it and since those are two of my favorites I liked it. The story goes back and forth from the past to the present. Both characters are dealing with some heavy issues addiction and depression. There is also the tabloids, a manipulative mother, death, characters who can't take no for an answer, sister love, friendship, the band. Riggins and Stella have known each other since she was 4 and he was 6 I love the friends to lovers stories and this one didn't disappoint. I really like how Stella stood up for herself towards the end and how much Riggins fought to win Stella's love. Don't know if her twin or the other band members will get or have a story out but I look forward to listening/reading it. Another new author to me I have taken a chance on and liked.

So much angst

Two people who are so passionately in love with one another. They are two perfect pieces that just fit together. Riggins and Stella’s love story is filled with so many good and hard times, a lot of push and pull. They met and fell in love as childhood best friends. Their love story spans many years and are finally reunited many years later and all the feelings come back stronger. Right person, wrong time is a perfect example of their love story.

The audiobook is narrated by Stephen Dexter and Emma Wilder. These two brought the angst to this story. I loved their voices for Riggins and Stella. All the feelings and emotions were felt while listening to this audiobook.

"My life is like the ocean. Sometimes, I'm at the top, floating on my back, the fun on my face. Happy, warm. Whole. Other times, I'm in the deepest, dark blue depths, so cold I can't remember what the sun feels like anymore. I'm numb.”
