About this listen

Brought to you by Penguin.

He's always been there. Now he's looking for you.

There have always been deaths in the small town of Eriston over the years - more than can easily be explained. People dying in their houses, behind locked doors.

Sean Cole thought he'd spotted a pattern. Thought he was on the trail of a killer. Now he's dead, too.

When his daughter, Rebecca, returns to the town, she realises that her father might have been onto something. But can she find the murderer before he finds her?

Because if she can't, her father's shabby old Victorian house is no place to hide.

Could have been so much better

Great premise and description but not so great book. It started off creepy and I wished it had stayed that way. Instead it seemed to get bogged down in the middle and ended in a lackluster way. Most of the characters were developed, especially Rebecca. Not many likable characters in it though. Parts of the premise for the book (killer getting away with it and others being jailed for the killer's crimes) just wasn't believable. Maybe once or twice, but 11 times.....really??? How is it Rebecca could ask a couple of people some questions and figure out who was guilty when nobody else could for 2 decades? Again, I wish it had more creepy and less unrealistic quality to the story.
