From number-one New York Times best-selling author Nora Roberts comes a classic tale about losing out on love... only to find it again.
Playing Booth DeWitt's cruel ex-wife in his semiautobiographical film is the chance of a lifetime for actress Ariel Kirkwood. As she gets to know the sexy screenwriter, she finds herself wishing she was his real leading lady, but her accurate portrayal has left Booth conflicted over his failed marriage and new desires. Now Ariel must convince Booth to see her for the woman she is - and not the one she was hired to play....

Is there anything you would change about this book?
I usually love Nora Roberts books. This combined with Kate Rudd's narration sounded like a dream but it was very irritating and disappointing. Of course we know how these stories will end but the way the author gets there is what makes it interesting. Nora Roberts wrote scenes that I want to call "stupid". I kept thinking "Oh Come On". Yes they have to have a fight but can it be more realistic? I started skipping ahead and it's already short. How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Give the reader some credit. If I was a teacher I would say this was put together quickly just to beat the deadline.Did Kate Rudd do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
One of the reasons I bought this book was because I loved Kate Rudd's narration in The Fault in Our Stars. I didn't enjoy this narration at all. I wish she had used her own natural voice for the female and I hated the male voice.Any additional comments?
I wouldn't suggest purchasing these short stories. They're a disappointment and not really worthy of 3 stars.3 is Generous
