Publisher's summary

All his life, Bram’s been told what he would be and what he would do. No one ever gave a thought to what Bram might think he wanted. There was only one career option for an omega - a mating, pups, and looking after the household.

But Bram wants more. He wants adventure, excitement, romance, and something different than looking after pups for the rest of his life. He flirts and teases with all the alphas, but the one he wants, he can’t figure out how to get. Until one of his more dangerous suitors goes too far and Bram finds himself in a situation that could ruin him for life.

Duke steps in with an offer of a respectable mating, and everything Bram wanted is somehow now within reach. But all gifts come with trials, and both Duke and Bram have difficult paths to tread on the way to happiness.

This audiobook can be listened to on its own, but it contains numerous references to characters and events in the first two audiobooks. It would be best listened to in order.

Duke's Baby Deal

I love this series, strong wonderful characters. Bram, an omega, has his eyes on Duke. When someone tragic happens to Bram, Duke becomes the alpha he needs. Together they work towards making things better for their pack.
Narrator Nick J. Russo does another fabulous job in this series.

Oh Duke

This is one of my favorite books Duke is such a well written character his love has no limits for his beloved. The story starts in a depressive accident but Duke steps in as the hero he is. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a beautiful love story.

Wasn't sure

First of all, this series is in my top three for shifter series. That being said, this book was not one my favorites, until I listened to the audio. When I read the book, Bram was a selfish brat and I didn't like him. But in the audio he became a different person. I was able to see him in a different light and rooted for him as he navigated what could have been a devastating path. Of course, he wouldn't be able to do what he needed to do without Duke, whose love and adoration for Bram, became the hero.

Love the series and Nick!

This is a great installment in this series. It is LONG and very involved and you must read all the books in order to really appreciate the story but I bet if you skipped one or two you’d still get the basic gist – but you’d be remiss! This is a fantastic “dystopian” shifter series wherein the shifters are forced into enclaves. Usually I despise these scenarios but it works here. There is just enough joy and magic to make up for the awful way the humans act.

I love Nick J Russo and his narration is wonderful as usual. There are literally a metric ton of characters and he does a terrific job keeping them all straight.

Highly recommended!

Loving the series

I totally respect the direction this installment went in. There is a dubcon aspect that riveted me. It's complicated and part of Bram's journey so I will only say I was so engrossed in the book I had to take a break from work because it interrupted my story time. Hehe.

Nick J Russo is perfect for this series!!!! He made Bram sound whiney, yet grown up in a convincing way. I'm looking forward to listening the next installment!

I'd give it 10, but Audible won't let me!

This is the third book in a series that must be read or listened to in order.

Bram is an Omega in a pack that cherished and protected him from everything, which doesn't prepare him for the darkness in the world. Duke is an Alpha that knows exactly what he wants, but stays in the shadows, certain that Bram deserves more than just him. Once these two Shifters stop assuming and starting communicating they finally get what they've both desperately wanted... each other.

I've been anxiously awaiting this book since I finished the last one, it was definitely worth the wait. Russo does such an amazing job with all the characters, careful to give everyone their own voice in the story. I'm really enjoying each new layer of this universe that the Author has created with each book. She's really taken the Shifter lore and bent it, reshaped it enough to make it different and unique and I'm loving it.

Can someone tell Nick Russo I need book 4 now please?!?!

Growing Up and Finding Love

This is the third book in the Mercy Hills Saga, and needs to be read after book one and two for the maximum enjoyment.

Bram grew up in Mercy Hills as the only Omega. Something that set him apart. His parents love him, but they don’t understand him. In fact, it seems not many people understand Bram, and instead only see the façade of a spoiled Omega who needs to be protected and mated. But the thing about protection is that it sometimes fails, and when Bram finds himself in a precarious situation, Duke steps up to finally claim the Omega who’s had his heart from the start.

It was wonderful to watch Bram and Duke’s relationship grow in both love and confidence. They fit each other perfectly, although they weren’t perfect people. There was hurt, confusion, and nervousness, but throughout it all, both shifters did their best to overcome and build a life full of love and hope.
