About this listen

Develop my team, dive the dungeons, and don’t ever stop.

I’ve always wanted to conquer the Big 5 dungeons ever since one of them took the life of my father nearly fifteen years ago. Nobody ever said the Path of Progression was easy, but my burning desire to dive can’t be quenched. I just never thought I’d be prohibited from getting a diving license just because I tried to help a bratty blonde girl get hers.

Soon, we’re joined by a lovely brunette bookworm, and we start diving the dungeon on our own terms. As it turns out, I have a few abilities that greatly increase our chances of actually finishing the Path, leading to a life of fame and luxury. Others soon notice the power I’m building though, and they’ll do anything to stop us.

I will conquer the Path of Progression with the help of my stunning companions.

That is unless the dungeon, or my secret enemy, kills me first.

This story contains action/adventure sequences, stat sheets for the main characters, and some slice-of-life elements.

Great Character Development

I don't give a five-star all the way down do you worry often, but this work definitely deserves it. I thought the character development was excellent, and was drawn totally into the story. I have bought the second book in the series and believe me, it is worth it.

The world building, the humble main character and the use of a male and female narrator.

Liked the whole story, ready to start the second book, then the rest of the series!

a promising start to a good series

overall I though that the book was pretty good and would definitely listen to the next. it was humorous and had lots of action but had good slice of life pacing. the characters were well written and the narrators did a great job. would recommend.

Grabs you from right the start!

Since I'm a big Marcus Sloss fan, figured this audiobook was a safe bet. I was right. The way this book starts out kinda grabs you and the book doesn't let you go from that point on. The dungeon fights were very well done. The way their competitive antagonist was handled during a dungeon run was not the normal trope and was greatly appreciated. That second dungeon was a real tough one. The surprise in the dungeon was truly unexpected and leaves a lot of question left to be answered. The narration was better than great and made this even more interesting and entertaining than the ebook (yes, I read it).

This is really worth reading and/or listening to, so grab either and enjoy.

Excellent

Best first book of a series in a long time by any author. I have zero complaints the book gave a realistic plot and characters a no weird divine intervention or anything that makes the goal of our mc’s to hard or to easy. Well thought out .
The narrators were excellent great production from start to finish.

Very engaging

very well paced to keep you wanting more as the story progresses. The romance is good and believable given the world it is set in.

Meh…

The story has more unpluggable holes 🕳️ than my ex-wife with an mmc that has an IQ right around 12… For lack of imagination in my description this one is “Rough” .. take any 13 year old discovering girls for the first time and drop him into the body of a 30 year old and you get our wonderful Mc.. just when you think the cringe can go no deeper and the awkwardness no more awkward this guy goes for that extra effort 🤣😂🤣
