About this listen

This simple introduction to both the Bhagavad Gita and Patanjali's Yoga Sutras is a gentle way to ease into these ancient texts. Crafted for use in Hatha Yoga studios, teacher training programs and experiential classroom venues, students will find the language of the audiobook friendly and engaging while teachers will find a rich offering of dialogue-encouraging questions and activities to enrich the learning experience.

Enlivened by original poetic commentaries and fleshed out with real world applications of these teachings, Easing into the Bhagavad Gita and Patanjali's Yoga Sutras provides an excellent starting point for the study of Indian philosophy.

The book was great but the bad narration was distracting. I’d rather have it in print. Yes

Good content bad pronunciations

Narratives where a little speedy for me but it was fine when I went back once or twice. Not an active yoga instructor but still spiritually great book.

Great book

Is it "puh-TOON-juh-lee" or "pag-tahn-YAH-lee"? Neither, but the narrator switched between the two. It's "pah-TAHN-jah-lee". Hard to focus on content with these repeated errors.

Great discussion, poor pronunciation.

So grateful to have this work and words in my repertoire to deepen my understanding and connection to the teachings of these sacred texts. I highly recommend this supplemental treasure to both simplify and broaden a students understanding of themselves as divinity.

Enlightening and insightful treasure

I do not understand how someone can narrate a book and not bother to look up the proper way to pronounce the word "Patanjali" which is featured in the title and the second half of the book. The narrator uses at least three incorrect pronunciations, without any apparent rhyme or reason.

A Little Gem of a Book Spoiled by the Narrator

Would you try another book from Kimberly Beyer-Nelson and/or Jack Nolan?

not narrated by jack nolan

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

this is more of a workbook with all these questions

How could the performance have been better?

Jack nolans' way of emphasising is making it difficult and annoying listen to

very difficult to listen

Super hard to listen to, it should not be an audio book and also is more of a complimentary reference than an actual introduction.

Not good
