I love the examples stated.

There were a few situations where more examples would have been helpful, especially because it is so easy to zone out to this reader. Once I found a way to stay hooked, though, it became so interesting and easy to keep listening to.

This book has everything!

There are even strategies on how to enhance the EQ of a person and all the information to determine if someone has a good EQ. I feel like I learned a lot about both myself and EQ itself. I feel like I know it’s a perfect book when I can relate it to myself, friends, family, and life.

Sensible

So many of these things are common sense, but I had no idea there was a scale (much like IQ) to rate emotional intelligence called EQ. These commonsense aspects genuinely come into play in everyday life, which I never realized. This book is so great in getting the information of EQ out there.

This was really a great book all together.

There were a couple of points that I found confusing, but most of it made perfect sense and changed the way I look at my intelligence. The differences between IQ and EQ are vast and both are important in their own right, so it is refreshing to see that there is a book that explains the importance of the lesser known intelligence.

Such a good Book!

I had things that I both loved and hated about this book.
1. I hated the woman's voice who told this book. It was young, annoying and slow. Nothing about her voice added to the novel and I wish it would have been anyone else telling it.
2. The list style of the audiobook was a bit confusing at first. Randomly at the beginning of sections, she would say the next letter on the list (ex: "I", "j") to say which point she is at. Because I can't see the book, it was confusing.
3. I loved the information and the accuracy. I learned about EQ during a college semester and this book had SO much new information and examples. It's worth every penny just because of the amount of additional stuff I learned even after doing an entire college section on this topic specifically.

it's highly beneficial!

Almost everything in this book was perfect, but I found one flaw: the slow reading speed makes me drowsy. A combination of information overload and a monotonous voice made it so hard to keep tuned in, but it’s the same with most books of this genre. SO as far as the book itself goes, I would absolutely recommend buying it. There is enough information inside that is directly beneficial to every person.

it didn't quite live up to my expectation.

I really wish the person telling the story didn’t speak so slow! It is easy to speed it up, but then her words start sounding automated and monotonous (more than usual). I adored the book and all that it taught me, but goodness! Why is the woman telling it so terrible? Her voice is childlike, nasally, and impossible to look past. If you find her voice tolerable, this is a great book. If not, good luck.

It's good but I prefer ebooks more.

The book is relatively easy to follow because of the style it’s told, but without a pen and a piece of paper, it is impossible to remember all the stuff within the book. It’s the kind of book a person could stand to listen to multiple times, because there will be information not comprehended each time before. I can admittedly say that this is one of my favorite text-book style listens.

it has some interesting points.

The girl’s voice is the only reason I don’t consider this book perfect. In paperback, this book would have exceeded all my expectations with flying colors. Because the girl reading it has such a slow, high-pitched voice, I kept getting frustrated. I believe it has such amazing potential, especially with all the interesting points it makes.

I think there;s too much info for one small book

I found this very monotoned, especially after speeding the reading. The occasional interesting paragraphs are the only thing that kept me interested, but the book almost lost me entirely. The author did a wonderful job at adding small parallels about a friend who doesn’t empathize with others, or a child who doesn’t share.
