Publisher's summary

After surviving a disastrous battle at prom, Alyssa has embraced her madness and gained perspective. She's determined to rescue her two worlds and the people and netherlings she loves, even if it means challenging Queen Red to a final battle of wills and wiles... and even if the only way to Wonderland, now that the rabbit hole is closed, is through the looking-glass world - a parallel dimension filled with mutated and violent netherling outcasts.

In the final installment of the wildly popular Splintered trilogy, Alyssa and her dad journey into the heart of magic and mayhem in search of her mom and to set right all that's gone wrong. Together with Jeb and Morpheus, they must salvage Wonderland from the decay and destruction that has ensnared it. But if they succeed and come out alive, can everyone truly have their happily ever after?

How do you make a woman behave like a toddler?

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How can it just end? How? Why? It can't just end. I don't want it to end. It should go on. And on. And on and on and on and on and on.

*insert petulant temper tantrum*

Best of the series

Honestly way better than the other books. I wasn’t a huge fan of the writing in the first book but got hooked on the plot and it was a freebie so I kept reading the series. In this book the author really caught her stride and it was filled with twists and turns and really managed to pull at my heart strings. Also, the narrator did a fantastic job giving everyone a voice and accent.

I loved this series

And it’s not my normal listen. But yes I shall admit I cried at the end sad tears when she grew old watched friends and family die …including Jeb and eventually faked her own death and left her human life behind … free falling down the rabbit hole right into moth lover boy arms forever and always to start a new and cried happy tears as she became 16 again, married morphis and danced upon the sun ⛅️

A Strong End

I read another review that said the author really hit their stride in the finale, and I’m inclined to agree. The imagery was great and the final battle was vivid and (almost) exactly what I was hoping for. Took me a while to finish because I didn’t want it to end or find the ending disappointing, but it was enjoyable through and through. Still not a huge fan of the romance portion, don’t really like the love triangle trope, but it was done well without being frustrating, unnecessarily dramatic. Definitely worth riding the lull of the sequel.

Great series

Loved all 3 books. Wonderful adventures, ups and downs, very descriptive, I felt I was there and felt the characters, heard their voices in my head for days afterward. Unusual for this time, good storytelling is a rare talent, A. G. Howard has that talent and Rebecca Gibel is a very talented narrator.

Great book

This book was another great addition to the splintered series. I'm not gonna lie though, I do feel a little conflicted about the ending.
