About this listen

Long ago, there was a princess so fair that every lord and hero in all the land lusted for her heart, so her father did what any reasonable father would—he cut out her heart and placed it in the highest chamber of a secret tower filled with monsters and deadly traps.

Those few who were wise and bold enough to solve the riddle of the tower's location and venture inside were never seen or heard from again. As the years passed, the quest appeared more and more futile. As the decades passed, it appeared to be lunacy. As the centuries passed, the princess's heart was all but forgotten....

Until now.

The Death Knight, Dan of Uptown, has been charged with an impossible ultimatum: retrieve the princess's heart—or die. Pursued by fanatical enemies, faced with a challenge too daunting for the greatest heroes of the realm, and left without options, Dan and his friends are about to find out exactly why Everybody Hates Tower Dungeons.

Glad to see they had a fresh storyline making this sequel not redundant while still advancing the characters. Looking forward to more books!

The humor and the overall story was great. I do recommend listening to the first book before you start this one. I was happy with the way the story turned out.

This is a rare book two that I think is better than book one and I really enjoyed the first book! I can highly recommend this book and author!

What a great book

The humor is tighter and is more spread out over the cast. Dan is still Dan so hopefully you liked his first appearance. I will warn you this book has a cliff hanger ending. I do recommend this book.

honestly I liked this one more than the first

Light LitRPG with dark humor. Great for anyone wanting an enjoyable story rampant with ample humorous moments and death metal references with Tarantino style battle scenes

Does not disappoint

And that's how I like my LitRPG: uninhibited, vulgar, never taking itself seriously, and taking full advantage of the opportunities for world building and not sticking religiously to a "system" or to the races Tolkien introduced to fantasy books. And entertaining.
This book is enormously entertaining. It is also a lot more funnier than the first part. And a lot more crude and vulgar. But in a way that fits the characters. And that's hard to make.
As a bonus, it plays with metal music references and this adds to the fun (for me).
So, in short, the perfect LitRPG. can't ask for more ;)

and that's how I like my LitRPG

A very strange way to right a story about an extremely based Paladin. I just need him to start murdering some false gods. The other characters are ok but pretty mundane.

4.5 Kerwin the Based
