The last thing Matt Kelmer expected at the gym was sudden death. The second-to-last thing he expected was an offer of reincarnation by a goddess intensely moved by his "valiant efforts" before his untimely passing.
When the option of a world filled with catgirls hits the table, Matt is determined to live out one of his greatest harem fantasies. However, what awaits him in Nyarlea will test the limits of his strength, courage, and patience. The monsters are harder, the Experience scarce, and the girls run circles around him.
Join Matt on his adventure of fighting Encroachers and battling Defiled. Every precious Level and Party member will aid his survival in perilous Nyarlea. With emotional twists, steamy nights, and chaotic surprises, Everyone's a Catgirl! will subvert your expectations one genre at a time.

The world takes a bit of the book to somewhat understand. But there are different kinds of monsters. Some are good and some are not.
I like that the MC is growing and that the authors understand that he needs to grow a backbone. Which makes for a bit of fun watching him stumble along and grow.
I'm really looking forward to book 2.
I'm giving this book 7 out of 5 stars.

This is a fantastic story for both fans and newcomers to the LitRPG genre.
This story is full of fun humor, incredible action scenes that'll have you on the edge of your seat, fascinating worldbuilding that is realistic for the established rules of the setting, and a great character-focused plot.
Everyone's A Catgirl is a LitRPG Iseakai with harem elements. I know that these are three categories that tend to get a lot of (deserved) hate in literature, but this story throws all the troublesome tropes out the window and is able to make a great story while it's doing so.
The LitRPG elements, while present throughout the story, are light enough to not be overwhelming and blend smoothly into the world-building and effective characterization. The author did a great job in demonstrating what effects these elements would have on a world and the society that it would naturally create. This is achieved through both direct observations from our main character as well as subtle hints scattered throughout.
--------------------------------
The cliche Iseakai elements are thrown out the window. Our main character, Matt, is not some overpowered Gary Stu who blazes through the world. He's clumsy, weak, rash, and foolish, and he makes a LOT of mistakes in the early story. Some may consider him to be an idiot, and he definitely starts out that way, but that's part of what I love about him as a character. He's an incredibly realistic depiction of a young and immature man who was thrust into a dangerous world far beyond his comprehension. Furthermore, while he may start out as an idiot at the beginning of the story, he has a lot of character development over the course of the book as the several life-or-death situations force him to mature quickly! If you find him annoying to read about at first, I urge you to keep going and give him a chance to improve
--------------------------------
The harem element is probably the most controversial part of this book for many readers, but I found that it was handled incredibly well. He doesn't rush into a relationship with any girl, but rather all his relationships are part of some overarching character or plot arcs that are developed slowly over the course of the story.
The idea behind men being with multiple girls is also explained in the story - there are only 4 men scattered across the 5 islands at any one time, so by necessity they *have* to be with multiple girls. And while that may sound like the typical male fantasy, the author demonstrates the negative consequences of that type of world. For instance, romance with individual catgirls is not just frowned upon, but illegal. This seems like it could prove to be a problem for Matt, who has fallen hard in love with some of the girls. There's also the fact of how much power the individual men wield over the catgirls around them - which can have dire consequences when they are not as kind-hearted as Matt is. You'll see some examples of that around the halfway point of the story.
Furthermore, all the other major characters as fully developed as well, with their own motivations and backstories becoming known as the story goes on. They are all unique and fun to read about in their own way, and their interactions with Matt provide some great comedy which helps balance out the more serious moments of the story.
Performance:
The performance was fantastic. Everything was clearly enunciated and the voice actor has a very soothing voice in my opinion.
Incredible, witty, and genre-breaking story
