About this listen

My younger brother hates me…he’s getting married.

And of course, my mother is going to have a field day with me still being a bachelor.

But love is for the birds. I don’t have time for that madness.

So, a fake date from an agency will work in a pinch.

Hope this poor damsel in distress is up for having to meet my wretched family.

If she survives, I’ll have to give her a bonus. Or hire her for my lonelier nights.

Much to my surprise, she’s not at all what I thought she would be.

Curvy, bold, hilarious—everything I want in my life.

This isn’t good.

Why in the world would a woman like her sell her time to a man like me?

Surely there’s more to her story than meets the eyes.

Not my problem. I just need one thing from the delicious beauty.

Fake it real good, baby. Fake it good.

Good Story

The story itself was really good. However, the male narrator was so stiff and had no inflection in his voice. Complete monotone. Had to listen to the story on 1.3x speed because the narrator spoke so slowly and monosyllabic.

Corvin King ruined the narration

Allie Shae should have narrated the whole book. She is the only saving grace to this audio. I have honestly never heard a worse narrator than Corvin King. The monotone and robotic way he narrates ground on every last nerve I had and ruined the story for me.

Must listen!!

I loved the book and the narrators. Both have such different feels to their characters. Highly recommend!

Can’t Even Finish

I got about two chapters in before I had to stop listening because the mail reader is absolutely horrendous. I look forward to using Audible on my long commute to work, but this just isn’t going to cut it because his inflection and tone frustrate me too much. Sorry Weston Parker, I won’t be finishing this book or reading any of the rest in this series. Too bad since I was really looking forward to it.

Totally unlikeable protagonist

I didn't like the female protagonist from the start but she kept getting worse. She was snotty and argumentative along with horribly judgemental. I hated the performance of the male protagonist. The voice was awful and grated on my nerves. I couldn't listen to the whole thing so I skipped chapters reading just enough to get the gist of the story. I do not recommend this book.

Horrible Audio

At first I thought it was my a migraine. Then I adjusted my speed. When that didn't work I tried new headphones. Nope it was the horrible narrator Mr. King. I didn't make it past chapter 3. Returning this book.
