About this listen

Richard Ramsey is the guitarist for the world’s hottest new band.

Gifted. Charismatic. Hot as sin.

Lend your ear, and he’ll steal your heart.

Nah, you can’t have his, considering he left it in his hometown years ago.

He knows better than going back. But it’s his younger sister’s wedding, and there’s no way he can say no to that.

He should have known she would be there, invading his senses and making him thirst and hunger for what he wants most.

Violet Marin hates him for what he’s done. He left her empty-handed with their wreckage strewn all around. She’s picked up the pieces and is living her life the best way that she can.

But their connection is fierce.

Their attraction unending.

It only takes one glance for their worlds to collide.

One touch to set them on fire.

But she doesn’t know the dark secrets he keeps. If he had understood the true price of fame, he would have known he’d sold his soul and this debt is something he cannot repay.

Letting her go is impossible, but will loving her cost it all?

This one was a good book!

SOME SPOILERS READ WITH CAUTION!!**

This book was soooo much better than the last one in the series. The narrators were less twangy and their voice fit better this time. The story it’s self was really good. I didn’t like “Richard” in the last book at all but this one explains why he is how he is and I absolutely love Daisy and the way she talks is sooo cute. Some of the reviews I read about staying away from love and stuff I found unfounded as well. He did stay away but it wasn’t for so whiney stupid reason, he was righting a true wrong and was trying to keep her safe and based off all that happened when he did get close it seams he was very right to stay away.
Over all I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next one.

Fantastic Read

One of best books out of the 650 plus in my library. A.L. Jackson is is normally an author I enjoy but this one is the best hands down! (So Far) there are a bunch I haven't read yet. definitely worth investing a credit!

Intense and spellbinding

You know from the start that this will gut you & take you on the roller-coaster ride of my life. That's exactly what happened. Throughout this story, I kept thinking there's no way this leads to a HEA. But in true A.L. Jackson style, they DID get there HEA. Zachary Weber and Andi Arndt are fantastic in everything they narrate, which just adds to the whole audio experience.

Rollercoaster of emotion

This author always weaves intricate stories of love, loss and longing giving the reader each piece of the story slowly, drawing you deeper and deeper until the full picture is revealed. Always tragic but ultimately redemptive, A.L. Jackson's stories are steeped in all the emotions. This one was probably the most soul-wrenching I've listened to yet. All the innocent missteps and proverbial trap doors into fame that a young, naive Richard fell through landed him in a depraved world, witness to the most vile cruelty that humans are capable of and unable to free himself. Yet he couldn't keep from doing anything possible to help the victimized, even when it would appear otherwise to the woman who was the other part of himself. Violet is completely unaware of the danger she's skirting by starting to search for her missing sister and drawing closer to Richard, her estranged husband of 6 years, unable to fight the pull of their unresolved love.

Andi and Zachary are such magic with their narration of these characters - and any character, honestly - they couldn't have been voiced by any other narrators.

My only negative on A.L. Jackson's style would be all the energy lashing, crashing, washing, sizzling, etc. descriptors that she uses. I feel like it is almost overdone when every scene between her hero's and heroine's come with these descriptions. I think that every once in a while she could try describing the connection between her characters a little differently or simply trust that the reader will know they're there after the first few mentions of them. It's also a little strange for the flashback chapters to be in third-person POV when the majority of the story is in first-person. I would think it might be to give the reader/listener some separation from the direct feelings of the characters, but she gives us those in the third-party portions, too, so I'm not sure why she switches POV's. These are only minor detriments to her work, and wouldn't deter me from listening to them, only that I'm noticing the themes more having listened to several of her books.

I can't wait to hear Reese's story and wonder if he'll end up with Mel and what demons he's covering with his devil-may-care attitude.

All the Feels, but a little winded.

I have listened to a few books by this author now, and I really have enjoyed them with some minor annoyances. She seems to like to say the same word three times in a row. I also thought this story got a little to descriptive when Violet and Richard would describe their feelings I think it made the ending rushed when that was the more exciting part of the story.

That said, it really was a sweet love story and I was surprised with the different plot twists. It was hard to put it down!

Andi and Zachary’s narration was amazing! They really put so much feeling into the story and it really came to life. They both have such great little kid voices and Andi’s southern accent is so sweet. A definite 5 star performance!

Great Book!

I couldn’t put this book down and read it straight through. I loved the characters of Richard and Violet. These characters were brought to life by Zachary Webber and Andi Arendt. Unfortunately I couldn’t relate to Violet’s reaction when she finds out about her sister. The mystery in the story kept me engaged in the reading. I definitely recommend!

Falling Into You

Love the series but would enjoy these books more if the characters talked like normal people instead of poets.

Great Story!

I loved this story, it had me laughing one minute and crying the next. You will love all the characters especially Daisy, she is the best little girl. I love author A.L. Jackson, she has a way of telling a story to keep you on the edge of your seat and have you hanging on until the end. Because you will have to find out how the story ends and you will love this stories ending.
I love the narrators of this story too, Andi Arndt and Zachary Webber are great.

Oh what a web we weave

This story was nothing like I thought it would be; it was so much more. Self sacrifice, deception, manipulation, devotion, and all the amor, amor, amor. Eager to see how the saga continues with Ryhs.

I love how this series interconnects with the plot of the bleeding stars series. Glad I read those first. While it isn’t absolutely necessary to read in order, I believe the storyline ties together having the details of those characters even if they are villains.

Wow

Another great story. I love that Emily and Royce were included to continue their story. It’s crazy how all the stories are inner twined with other series. Love!!!
