A Book of Almosts

This book was almost entertaining. It almost had some action, it almost had interesting characters. Sadly it never quite got to its full potential. I kept waiting for something to happen, but it never did. There were hints of a deeper story that would come in the next few pages, perhaps the next chapter? But no. Nothing of consequence ever materialized. The narrator was very good, and probably the reason I stuck with it. It's not a bad book, it's not a good book. It's just kind of...there.
