About this listen

Three weddings at one isolated venue. Three dead bodies. Three missing brides… And one of them is a murderer.

It’s Christmas Day at Wilder House, and three magical winter weddings are set to begin. But as the tables are arranged, and the food is prepared, a perfect storm hits, cutting every guest from the rest of the world.

Most little girls dream of the perfect wedding. But this bride stumbles alone into the snow, her silk train dragging through dirt, her hands bloody from the murder she just committed…

Now there is at least one killer roaming the unforgiving landscape surrounding Wilder House.

Who else will die on Christmas Day?

This chilling psychological thriller by bestselling author Sarah A. Denzil is not one to miss. Set in the atmospheric Lake District, it’s the perfect winter listen.

Confusing

The storyline was good, but it was very confusing. If they used different readers for each of the brides, it would have definitely been better.

Many moving parts

Ms. Denzil never fails to disappoint. There are so many moving parts to this story. It was nice to see them tied all together and end on a happy note.

interesting point of view characters

I really enjoyed the gimmick of shifting perspectives and the fact that you saw important events from to one person from the point of view of another unrelated character at times. The story for thr most part was predictable and the plot with the son, Jacob being an incel was incredibly cheesy. The voice over was very good and gave lots of life to the characters.

Intertwined

All different stories, but yet all written to fit perfectly together. Great plot, everyone gets what they deserve at one point.

Loved the story line the twist was a chef’s kiss!

I must read more from this author! The story was so original and unexpected! I was hooked from the beginning. I felt Lucy was a little stupid but she got it together in the long run! Great read!

When it came together it was good

I was getting lost in the beginning trying to remember who was who and the supporting cast for each bride’s story but I stuck with it. Towards the end it started to flow better

Trifecta

This was a pretty good read. I did have trouble keeping up with all of the characters. I did like that there was a trifecta of plot twists.

Too much jumping the storyline back and forth

Take 6-8 characters, write chapters based on the point of view from one of those characters but jump the timeline forward and back and it's too much. Somewhat predictable.
