About this listen

Abarrach, the Realm of stone. Here, on a barren world of underground caverns built around a core of molten lava, the lesser races—humans, elves, and dwarves—seem to have all died off. Here, too, what may well be the last remnants of the once powerful Sartan still struggle to survive. For Haplo and Alfred—enemies by heritage, traveling companions by necessity—Abarrach may reveal more than either dares to discover about the history of Sartan... and the future of all their descendants.

A Vividly Crafted Journey Across the Fire Sea

From the moment I started the audiobook, I was transported into the vivid and enthralling world of the fire Sea. Both Wes and Hickman have crafted a story that is not only superbly written but also deeply immersive. The plot, well written characters, and richly detailed settings contribute to the story's appeal. The narration is nothing short of excellent. The narrator breathes life into characters (even the dead ones), making them feel real and relatable. The pacing is perfect, and the tone matches the book's atmosphere wonderfully. The narrator's skillful storytelling enhances the experience, making each twist and intern even more exciting. “Fire Sea” is a testament to when some of the best authors combine with an excellent narrator. I enjoyed this book tremendously.

Had read the final book of the series back in the day and always wanted to read the entire series but never got around to it. Love it great characters and stories. Narrator was amazing too.

The Sartan’s fall from grace.

Each book adds more to the main storyline, but it takes a bit of a side story to get to it. Some new characters are added and Haplo is starting to get more of a background to interest us as the reader. Haplo is starting to see that there is more going on than what he was told. Narrator was good.
