Story
The word "parenting" can cause all sorts of nightmares in your head right now, and if it is, congratulations. No seriously, congratulations! This means you’re not an idiot, and you are aware of the difficult task that lies ahead. Society often tells us dads that our job is to simply provide financial support and leave the caring part to our partners. Well, I’m here to tell you that this is utter nonsense! That whole spiel about how women are biologically attuned to be more nurturing while men are better off running around chucking spears at things? Baloney!

Story
Mayim Bialik was the child star of the popular 1990s TV sitcom Blossom, but she definitely didn't follow the typical child-star trajectory. Instead, Mayim got her Ph.D. in neuroscience from UCLA, married her college sweetheart, and had two kids. Mayim then did what many new moms do - she read a lot of books, talked with other parents, and she soon started questioning a lot of the conventional wisdom she heard about the "right" way to raise a child. That's when she turned to attachment parenting.

Awesome Tips for First time Dad!
I love how the author discuss about budgeting on taking care of the family economy in Chapter 7. The second hand baby equipment part rocks(wink), I remember myself just borrowing from a friend since their babies grew up already. Challenges when your first baby arrives is like going back to school the first time, you'll never know what to expect. But as you go along, your experience will teach you a skills that you can use on your next babies and it will be like a natural thing to do. This is a great resource for all First time Dad out there. Recommended. Great Job to the author.

Get Dad Involved
Navigating pregnancy and early years of fatherhood is hard for both parents. The fathers role often can get overlooked. However it is just as important for the father to know what to expect and to be a solid mental support for the mother. This book is a great guide for fathers and it has helped my husband I feel more connected and understanding of what his role is in the journey of early parenting. Excellent book for new or expecting parents

A Wonderful Book For Fathers
I remember the first time I was a father, I really had no guidebook or strategy to help me cope. I relied 100% on my wife and wished I had done more. Now that my son is a first-time father I'm not going to make the same mistake again, I've given him this very well-produced audiobook and he's thrilled with it. This book sets out a proper plan from the day you first hold your firstborn to giving financial advice on his future. Well done..

Charming and informative
I think what sets this apart from other parenting books is the warm and supportive point of view of the writer. There's a ton of compassion to go along with the functional stuff you need to know. It's a fun read, and it's going to help a lot of people. I love the narrator too.

Great Guide for Dads — new and existing
“First Time Father” is a helpful and fairly comprehensive guide to preparing for, birthing, and raising a new baby. It has a very down-to-earth approach that fills you with the wisdom needed to be the best dad you can be.
It starts by helping you create a vision for your child’s future, then dives into the brass tacks and difficulties of raising a newborn. The advice within it is nicely tailored for dads, which is a welcomed change for men (versus some of the more mom-focused books out there).
As this one shows, if we males can be supportive of our partners, take active roles in our children’s lives, and plan out all the associated expenses, we’ll inch ever closer toward building the familial bonds we’ve always dreamed of. That’s why I recommend it.

Wealth of Information
Any expectant father who wants to support his partner during pregnancy and prepare as much as possible for the birth of his kid should listen to this audiobook. It provides a clear, engaging description of what to anticipate during pregnancy and how to get ready for a new baby. Most chapters used an easy-to-read, pros/cons or question/answer format that was grounded in reality. The first-person anecdotes and experiences were enjoyable. It was humorous while still covering all the pertinent subjects.
