Publisher's summary

The Morrigan hunts the prince of demons.

I am the reincarnation of a dark god. I cannot escape that now. The prince of demons come again. And I am hunted. The Fomori have a prophecy about my return, and have been so kind as to dispatch the Morrigan herself to slay me. She's even forging a special divine sword.

Their armies of beastmen and giants march upon Hasra, and the ailing empire is in no shape to hold. They need new troops. They need us. My friends and I are being sent off to the other Catalysts we control to gain more magic so that we can resist the Fomori advance.

First we'll journey to Calmora, to gain air from the Breath of Shu. Then we will fly to Enestius to gain dream from the Hoard of Lakshmi. If we survive, then we'll move on to the strongest Catalyst on the continent, the legendary Hammer of Reevanthara.

Once we have secured our powers we'll return to the war, and break the Fomori…or die trying. I will find a way to drive them from our lands, for my family. For my people. For the darkness living inside me.

extremely well done

I always enjoy Chris Fox's storytelling. The story keeps moving and you get to know the characters at the save time. It has been fun watching him tell a completely different story backed by his Magitech game, too.

I have been listening to this series for hours everyday. I'm not sure what to do now that I have to wait for the next book.

Absolutely epic story! Best author, best narrator, soo much fun!!!

I stumbled onto Chris Fox’s writing a few years back, and have listened to almost his entire series over and over again because these stories aren’t just a one and done, they’re constantly growing as well as the universe within! His style of writing and a as comfortable as a conversation, and Ryan’s narrating makes imagining the character hardly any effort.
This particular story had so much action and drama, but also fills in the blanks of characters we’ve known about, and expands on their lives and journeys. I can’t wait for the next few books, and will forever be a fan of both Chris and Ryan, the power team!
Thank you!!!

Such a great sequel!!!

This book was so good!, I can't wait to hear book 3. it's gonna be so good!!! I was not expecting this sequel. it was amazing, I really have no complaints. the ending has me wanting so much more!!!

Ryan Kennard Burke does pretty good. I feel likes he s gotten way better as a narrator, He's actually grown on me. he performed this book very well. I honestly think he deserves a 5 star.

This book was so good, i feel like alot of stuff in this book was so much better than book one. I love the character progression, Xal is just getting stronger and stronger!. I also think there was some pretty good character development, Xal has really grown in this book, some of the decisions he made in this book he would not have made in book one.
the characters also got better, I felt a better connection with them, I think the characters plot & twists were good. I honestly like how intricate it is, the enemy of your enemy is your friend really goes good with this book. I'd also like to add how saghir is a beast, that rat is super strong. I could go on for while on the good things about this book, but I'll end it here.

Book 3 is going to be so good. I recommend this book 100 fold. I really can't wait to see how strong Xal really gets. Chris fox did a remarkable job with this sequel.

The ascension is complete

I have been a big fan of Chris Fox since the early days of the first Megitech series. His writing has always been addictive and entertaining. However, having now completed the second book of this new series, I am excited to say that - in my humble opinion - he has officially evolved from a FUN author to an INCREDIBLE one. The characters, plot and scale of The Shattered Gods series is on par with any grand fantasy in the 'verse.

Ryan Burke continues to deliver a theatrical performance in his reading that brings everything to life. His accents and delivery make it easy to know who is talking and there is always an appropriate amount of wit and drama in every line.

I cannot recommend this series enough. Do yourself a favor and read/listen to it immediately. You will not be disappointed.

Well done!

Really enjoyed listening to the book and the development of the characters. I really enjoy Saghir in this book, especially when picturing some of the lines coming from a rat.

Once again Chris Fox delivers

Amazing story. Captivating characters, and tales of heroism to catch the dreams of us who enjoy such stories. Can’t recommend enough.
