Publisher's summary

Human life has just become the rarest resource of them all.

Clayton Cross has been reunited with his family, and he’s joined forces with the remnants of Phoenix, a human resistance group from the Wastes outside of New Houston. But following a traitorous double-cross by their Chrona ally, Specter, most of the world’s remaining population has turned into the failed human-alien hybrids known as Dregs. The world is no longer divided into safe, civilized cities run by the Kyra, and even they have abandoned Earth, declaring it a quarantine zone to contain a deadly new version of their virus, engineered by the Chrona.

Earth is overrun with alien predators.

Few human survivors remain, and now monstrous hordes of Dregs stalk the cities and Wastes alike, making life on Earth more treacherous than ever.

The survivors are left to fight over dwindling resources.

People must find refuge before they are hunted to death, but they are competing with rival groups for vital resources and shelter - and some of them are better equipped than others.

Clayton and the rest of Phoenix are faced with hard choices in this Fractured Earth as new and old enemies pursue them. When the choice is kill or be killed, death is the only way out.

Fractured Earth is a post-apocalyptic story about survival, family, and the resilience of the human spirit. If you like gritty post-apocalyptic stories that give you chills yet still end on a positive note, then this book is for you.

Great Book

Captivating, Hard to put down. The book did a great job of putting a vision of the story in my mind.

Excellent Story Building and Growth

Jasper T Scott is doing a marvelous job bring this series to even greater life and growth.

The truly evil species has lost the revolution and been driven away, yet the evils that plague us today ate now the new demons

I can't wait for the next book to see how we work these challenges out to have a peaceful coexistence.

Narrator Ben Jaegger-Harris is really an excellent narrator! As he has gone ob and read the series, he has really nailed the characters' personalities, subtilties, and quirks. He is really rising in my estimations.

An equal sequel

A pretty by the numbers story on par with the others in the series. a few surprises but for the most part it was in line with the prior two. There were miraculous last minute coincidences that were a little too convenient that saved the main characters, several times, but overall it was a good book. There some scenes that were difficult to hear, like a women urging and aiding her male party members to rape a female captive but thankfully the act itself was not consummated.

Exciting

Another great story in the ascension wars. The author does a great job painting the conflict between the humans, Kimara and Krona. The resistance has seized their chance at victory, only there is an unforeseen twist that puts them in a precarious situation. Now they must solve yet another problem in order to survive. The story keeps you listening till you finish. The narrator does an excellent job bringing the character and the world to life. Highly recommend.

Great series..

Fighting the Kyra and Chimera and the Dregs made this a good series. I love Michael Anderle's sci-fi and paranormal books.

No romance and the F-bomb was used 12 times.

As for the narration: Ben Jaeger-Thomas was fabulous!
