A great listen!

Definitely a good listen for anyone hungry for Star Wars content. But, did almost all of the stories involving any kind of romantic plot/sub-plot, need to be LGBT? the narrators did great with what they had.

There are (((only))) 5 LGBTQ or Self-Insert Fanfiction Stories in this book

Of those 5, only 1 is remotely decent. It's "Wolf Trap" but the ending is kind of hilarious. And one of them "When Fire Marked The Sky" retcons Lando Calrissian (started he flirted with dudes) and Wedge Antilles (only implied) as gay, although not necessarily with each other. It's no good, but it isn't incompetently written as the self-insert stories. You can tell those writers probably just watched YouTube videos about Star Wars or ROTJ. 4/5 of these stories are in the last ten stories of the book. Overall, the book is pretty good. But those stories do drag it down. You'll spot them within 3 minutes of each one. Bad writers can't help themselves. It also establishes The Ewok movies as canon, which is beyond stupid, but this is Disney Star Wars, so you should at least expect that. So, in the words of their former writer: make your own canon. Take what you like and dismiss the rest. All the other stories are good or even great. So in that sense, it's FAR better than the previous two, which had a lot more self-insert and LGBTQ stories. The performances, even of the bad stories, are well done. But don't pay full price.

Another must read/must listen

Great extra info. A must read for all Star Wars fans. Extra info really helps you dive into why some were with Imps.

Great stories, but..

overall I Loved this book and the different points of view. my one complaint is that there were too many stories that involved gay love interests - at least 3. I really wish lgtbq propaganda was left out of star wars.

Jedi Edition of the Series

This is the third book in the From A Certain Point of View Series, this one focusing on Return of the Jedi. 40 different authors tell stories about new and familiar characters. Most of this edition featured new authors and to me it showed. Few stories stood out for me. The sarlacc story "My Mouth Never Closes" with superb narration by Marc Thompson was one of the funniest and "Kernels and Husks" by Jason Fry showed the ruthlessness of the Empire. The rest were a mix of point of views on Tatooine, Endor and the Death Star. As in previous versions the last story is the the Whills by Tom Angleberger. It is the funniest in each book, and while you can read this, it is simply better on audio. Marc Thompson and Jonathan Davis get to showcase their funny side and it is worth multiple listens for that one.

I listened to this on audio and it had a number of wonderful narrators, from the king Marc Thompson to other Star Wars veteran narrators Jonathan Davis, January LaVoy, Saskia Maarleveld, Sam Witwer and Sean Kenin Elias Reyes Newer narrators include Jon Hamm. They were fantastic.

If they do a series for the prequel series I hope more of the original legend authors will be included. The first series was my favorite. This one is ok. All are for a good cause.

Fantastic!

All the performers do amazing as always; especially Jonathan Davis and Marc Thompson. Hopefully they do the prequels! 2/3 of the stories were good but I ended up skipping a few due to lack of interest and not being very engaging.

Fun!

This was much better as an audio book. All the actors were great and there were some fun and emotional stories.
