Shortly after the death of King Solomon in 931 B.C., the Promised Land is divided into two separate nations: Israel in the north, and Judah in the south. Hezekiah is the second son of King Ahaz of Judah. As he comes to power, he must navigate a troubled path to reunite his wayward people with Yahweh.

Would you listen to Gods and Kings again? Why?
Yes. Well written & read! Love biblical novels. I even went back and looked references up in the bible! Author well informed & brought the characters to life! I ran through so many emotions! Happy, sad, horrified, angry! Truly an inspired work!Who was your favorite character and why?
Loved the main character of Hezekiah. I felt what he felt. Stepped into his character, and even asked the same questions of God as he did. I also liked the character Shebna, the Egyptian scribe & tutor. I really liked him, even though he was a non believer, he did love his earthly king. I felt so bad that he would never accept the truth of a higher Being involved.Which scene was your favorite?
I had two. The first being Je shu's escape from the Asyrians. Then, the final destruction of the Asyrian empire. If you could rename Gods and Kings, what would you call it?
I liked the name.Any additional comments?
