Publisher's summary

Two years ago, Beth Farrow turned her back on her three-year-old niece, Jenna, for just a few seconds. She disappeared without a trace.

How does a three-year-old go missing from a crowded summer fete without anyone noticing?

When Beth leaves the country to try and escape her guilt, someone sends her a photograph from an anonymous number. It's a photograph of Jenna. She's older, but Beth is sure it's her niece. She is determined to do what the police cannot: Find Jenna and bring her home.

But someone isn't pleased when Beth returns, and they will do whatever it takes to get rid of her. This time, for good.

Lost Child, D.S. Butler

Really good read. Good pace for me with some twists. End left a little to be desired.

Great suspense.

Really enjoyed this book. Edge of your seat, questioning every new character. Testing sanity. Superb.

Favorite book so far!!

I've read/listened to do many of these books but this was the best!! I was literally yelling at my radio for the woman in the story to do what I was telling her to do. It was fantastic.

Just Bad

Most of this is describing things she does around the house. Then her walking through the process to replace her iphone and her bus route. Then she is incredibly stupid at times like when she is shocked when they say the number wasn't a mobile number. Her and her just can't believe it, they have a long discussion about what that meant. It's not a well thought out story and a bad editor if there was one.

Utterly ridiculous

The reviews for this book seem just as over the top as the book itself. The story was too slow and dragged on too much for it to put anyone on the edge of their seat!

There was too much unnecessary descriptive dialogue and not enough plot building. There is more discussion about everyday activities than the crime. The crime itself is my biggest issue because it made no sense and would’ve been impossible to pull off when revealed at the end.

This was a ridiculous, boring story full of unlikable characters and I don’t recommend it.
