Publisher's summary

The perfect murder. The perfect nightmare.

Spying from her window in New York City with high-powered binoculars, conspiracy theorist Zoe spots a man and woman on a park bench. Zooming in, she finds she can read the texts on the woman's phone. Her initial excitement turns to alarm when the woman's texts outline a plan to murder the man she is sitting next to.

The police department is trying to manage a pandemic and catch a serial killer who has murdered six women. So, when Zoe reports the conspiracy to commit murder, the police have little time or patience for her theories.

Committed to saving the life of the man on the bench, Zoe and her best friend Sean pursue all angles until Zoe finds herself in grave danger.

But those around her keep wondering, is there really a murder plot or is it all in Zoe's head?

This was a really fun listen.

The story was a bit silly at first, but I really found myself enjoying the madcap action of Zoey and Sean. And I was completely fooled by the plot, so kudos to the author. And the narrator was a perfect Zoey. (The rest of the characters fell into place, too.)

If you’re tired of thrillers and heavy books, give this one a listen. It was really fun.

Nice little mystery

Great little story! Kept me interested and wondering what was going to happen. Worth the credit to me, also great narration. Listened on 1.2 speed.

Interesting plot and story!

Enjoyed this book, from same author, as well. Also kept my interest and enjoyed the characters, as well as the excellent narration.

I knew it!

This really is a good book but I just knew there was something about that person. I’m not giving it away but I will say, pay attention.

Excellent, both the book and the narration

The best "thriller/suspense" I've listened to for quite a while! Engaging from the start and keeps one glued to the story. All of the characters well drawn and well-voiced by the narrator.

The ending was perfectly done, with all threads of the story resolved. And such a set-up for a sequel, with more sleuthing from the main characters!

I just wished everyone hadn't constantly chastised Zoe for using her binoculars and her interest in crime solving. Turns out she was good at it.

I'm looking for more on Audible from this author.

Cute

Didn’t see the end coming. Good listen. Held my attention. I like the end. I wasn’t shocked by the end but didn’t see it exactly coming. Fun listen.

Likable Characters and Intriguing Story Line

I really enjoyed the main character and her ‘sidekick’ in this story and I found the storyline unique and fun to try to anticipate.
VERY interesting with it being set during the COVID Lockdown!
I look forward to more of this author’s Titles!
