About this listen

The humans of Ergoth continue to encroach upon Thorbardin, but the worst threat to the dwarven fortress comes from a mysterious fog-beast and a covetous wizard. A Cobar, a kender, and a giant raptor add to the confusion as the dwarves are faced with wizards who command not only the forces of magic but thousands of mercenaries as well. And, unknown to the dwarves who valiantly fight the invaders, the beast has already claimed Thorbardin as its own.

Well done

This book is not a masterpiece. But it is well done. I in fact think it is a bit better than book 1. If you like Dragonlance book you will likely enjoy this book.

Its Dwarf not Dorf

I'm really liking the 3 books but the narrator calling them Dorfs is like nails on a blackboard

Pretty good history series

All I will say… the ending climax was worth its weight in steel pieces. Fantastic!

The history of the characters is amazing...

Just like book one, this was such a wonderful trip down memory lane. The world, characters, and even the politics are such an amazing experience to listen too. I can't wait to listen to book 3 even though I'm fearing to end the series.

Love the dwarven saga, but bad narration.

Good story. Terrible narrator. Allen O'Reilly has an odd way of speaking, that sounds like a bad and broken cell phone conversation. He inserts pauses mid-sentence, and doesn't pause when it's necessary. the result is a cadence that is annoying to listen to and takes you out of the story repeatedly.
