About this listen

Everything can change in a heartbeat.Hunter Roswell thought she had left her past behind. But her carefully structured world starts to fall apart when a serial killer connected to her past emerges from the shadows and begins stalking her. Already responsible for the deaths of five women, the killer now has Hunter firmly in his sights. And he’s picked a target date - the night of October’s full moon - also known as the blood moon or hunter’s moon.

Sara Wilder, a psychologist and former FBI profiler, is brought in to help Hunter unravel the connection between her past and a ruthless killer. But as the search for the killer intensifies, both women find themselves struggling with an unexpected and undeniably mutual attraction. In a race against time, can they survive a killer who is willing to use anything - even love - to further his own agenda?

Excellent Narration

If you could sum up Hostage Moon in three words, what would they be?

Too much sex, the story was great but I was not looking for a romance novel.

Would you be willing to try another book from A. J. Quinn? Why or why not?

Not if it is the same type of book

Which character – as performed by Bernadette Dunne – was your favorite?

All of them, she is fantastic

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Not really

Any additional comments?

Not to spoil the book for others but some of the actions of the characters were so far fetched it ruined the book.

Outsmarting the Serial Killer, Finding Romance

Hostage Moon is a mysterious, fun, and engaging investigative drama. I was hooked by the punchy prose, whip-smart plotting, and strong women characters.

A successful, beautiful woman wakes in a dark alley in a pool of her own blood to learn that she is being toyed with and hunted by a serial killer from her past. She receives aid from an ex-FBI psychologist with problems of her own. The two find they have an undeniable mutual attraction. Will they be able to evade and catch the creepy psycho-villain, and find love at the same time?

An entertaining listen.

for these people to be so smart why didn't they figure out he was going to take Sarah. And they didn't tell us what she said to the guy in jail and he said to her. Just left us hanging.

Captivating Story and Excellent Narration

IMO this is the best AJ Quinn book I've read. The characters are likable: strong, intelligent, courageous, yet vulnerable. And Bernadette Dunne as narrator was superb. She brings each character to life and really makes the reader feel as if they could walk through the door at any minute. Get acquainted with Sara and Hunter you won't regret it.

A very good read

The beginning was a little slow. Stick with it and you won't be Sorry. The narrator was easy to listen to. The story was suspenseful. I'd recommend it.

Hostage Heart

I am not a reader in general ,hence the audio books so I don't really have anything to compare this particular book with ,I enjoyed it very much, a little cliche a traumatized tormented woman ,battling her demons and though the dark haze Sarah a physiologist coming to her rescue ,will they wont they read it and find out ,
