Leil Lowndes is always great to read

I have several of Liel’s books and I have loved every one of them. This was another great one with real world examples about how to use the techniques. Highly recommend.

This is what I call a good use of time

Each of the 46 tricks presented in this book comes from real life examples that are included in the book. This gives you both the theory behind the trick and an idea of how to apply them. Applying all of them would be challenging but it's easy to pick out the tricks that will have the most personal benefit and just work on those.

Some of the tricks presented made me thing "why has this never occurred to me?" because they're so common sense once they're pointed out (ok, so maybe that means they aren't common sense, or I'm just a bit slow).

I think that everyone could get something out of this book even people who are already good at making connections. For those who aren't you'll get solid applicable tips that are easy to try out and apply and if you are a connector you might just find out why (if you don't already know why).

Disappointing

I expected more. One suggestion from the book: when shaking hands, extend your index finger towards the persons wrist so as to make a more personal connection. Also, hold their business card a certain way. GMAB!

Unremarkable

Roughly speaking, a good listen if you are a starter in interpersonal communications. Gives you a whole bunch of "new" tricks and tells you nothing as to how to make your own decisions. Other then that what also leaves a bit "sour" impression about the book is a quite over-feminist approach of the author. Every "bad" character in the examples in the book is a man. And not only that, the author also refers to genetic differences between man and woman and portrays the former as less of a "developed" being and more of an inferior organism but not equal to woman. Kind of sad.

Repetitious

Lots of repetition in this book, but otherwise an ok "read". Most of it could have been said in ten minutes. The narrator is annoying to listen to so I suggest reading it.

very simple and no real theory.

it is too short compared with other books, and yet very normal tricks discussed.

Could not listen to the nonsense!

Hold a business card with both hands and keep looking at it while talking to someone? Really? That would give the other person you keep forgetting their name. Not worth the money or the waste of my monthly audible credit. Dumb advice.
